Myself and 5 friends rented the biggest RV we could find in Calgary and are doing this in style this year. This thing is like 30 feet long. So awesome.

Hopefully RV rental with 5 other people. After adding it up it really doesn't come out terribly much more than camping with 2 people to a car with 3 cars.

Yes - Splitting the RV 6 ways. I got it from CanaDream RV Rentals - (canadream.com). Here is the total invoice breakdown for those of you who are interested.
MH-A Maxi Motorhome (7 nights @ $120.00) $840.00 Preparation Fee $55.00 6 Convenience Kits Included VIP Insurance Coverage Included Driving in the United States Included 2 Additional Driver Included Unlimited Kilometers $687.50 SubTotal $1,582.50 G.S.T. $79.13 Price $1,661.63 Deposit (due today) $300.00 Balance (due 30 days prior to pickup) $1,361.63
The total cost for all of us (3 couples) - including gas (we did an estimate with the mileage of the RV and the distance between Calgary and Sasquatch (and back), camping, and tickets works out to $500 total (not including food). Which is totally awesome.

Thanks for the info.
Not bad, but being 2 people I think we'll stick to a car.

Yah, we're running four people by the looks of it. Not really wanting to rent again so we'll probably just take my hummer down. I'm sure that will go over well at a "green" concert.

Last year I bought the tickets, a friend did the driving/paid for gas camping. Slept in their car, that worked ok. Probably do something similar, but that 40 dollars a night is nuts (it's double last year)

I would advise getting as many people as possible per car, and getting there early to stake out a spot. I grew up in Eastern Washington, and my friends and I usually have a huge campsite, which is all the more fun.

being a "green festival" youd think that sasquatch would provide shuttles to try to keep more cars off the road but apparently no shuttles
