There's the "10 must see bands thread", but this is a bit different. Which bands this year put on such a good show that you should see them whether or not you're a big fan of their music?
and also i've heard really good things about a couple bands from friends.
My Morning Jacket is a real cool instrumental surf band from tennessee worth checking out. They play with masks on. Check out the album !Viva!.
The Stand Still, Pyrite, Afternoon Commute, Panther Sex, and Hot Coffee are all definitely worth checking out too.
And Twilight Opening Weekend was really successful. They made like $142 million. I can't wait to see New Moon on the main stage big screen friday night.
* Freedom Whaleman * Longblast Android Orchestra * Dr. Mountain Goat, Private Eye * Panic! At The Disco * Besnard Latkes * Big Show Danny Lange * Cow Tools * Pharaoh * New Jack Swagga * Jack & THE BEANS-TALK * Tough Knuckles
Saw them on Friday. They put on a good show, brought lots of energy, and seemed like genuinely nice guys. I'd definitely recommend it but I can't say that you'd enjoy them if you're not all that familiar with their songs.
