Haha, yeah, right. They're not even playing on the same day, and A.Z. hinted pretty damn strongly on his tumblr that it'd be Demi Lovato/Jonas Brothers on Sunday night, in conjunction with and kind of as a warmup for the summer tour the JBs are doing with Demi opening. Gaga, may I remind you, is playing Saturday's subheadliner spot, but will probably get a full set like NIN did last year. I only say this because I really only think she's going on before King Crimson is seniority. Besides that, I really think that making Saturday Crimson/Gaga and Sunday Jonases takes a lot of credit away from Stomp as a draw to the festival... making them festival closer for Monday means they're playing for a crowd of maybe 5,000 disinterested slackers who got/finagled Tuesday off too as opposed to a 15,000+ strong crowd. Another huge mistake: Sasquatch! really should've made Katy the Jorge Stage headliner instead of the subheadliner on the main and swapped her set spot with The Residents... not that there's a strong Residents/Stomp fan overlap, but it's probably bigger than the Perry/Stomp one. This doesn't ruin the festival, it's really more business.
Does anyone not think that Flobots (5:00/Jorge) versus Biz Markie (4:45/Yeti) is the toughest conflict? Again, there's definitely at least 1000 people who want to see both and will have to choose. It's not like there are a bunch of Lightning Bolt or Squeeze fans who can't make it until 7, so either could switch spots with Flobots/Biz... it was hard enough choosing between The Knux and Mrs. Potato Dick...

my biggest scheduling fear is that vampire weekend will be set to play the main stage right before mmj and the national 'headline' the bigfoot. if i'm forced to miss the national and watch the lameness that is vampire weekend in order to be up close for mmj, i'll be pissed. i suppose it would be either that or catch half the national and then watch mmj from the hill. don't fuck me on this one, adam zacks.

Pretty sure you're good on this one considering both Vampire Weekend and The National are playing main stage... I would bet that it would look more like Broken Social Scene, The National, Vampire Weekend, then MMJ on the main stage that Saturday.

Not sure that it's been mentioned yet, but according to the website, Booka Shade and Deadmau5 are playing the "Bigfoot Late" Stage. www.sasquatchfestival.com/#/band/319www.sasquatchfestival.com/#/band/360Now, I was aware that Deadmau5 was playing Bigfoot, and assumingly closing it out opposite MMJ. However, I wasn't aware that Booka Shade was doing the same thing on Sunday, opposite Massive Attack. Furthermore, I wonder what "Bigfoot Late" actually means. i.e. will they be playing later than the Mainstage closing act? Sure hope I can find out sooon....

Bigfoot LATE? I'm thinking that means deadmau5 and Booka Shade will go on after the Mainstage Act. If true, that is pretty awesome.

it would be awesome if all of the attention was focused on the nightly headliner, then people could decide if they want to go party in the campsite or at Bigfoot Late.
conflicts are the bane of my festival-going existence.

So obviously polecat is guilty of some awkward sentence construction, but your subpar reading comprehension takes the cake in this exchange because you decided to call him out on it. Nicely done.

Bigfoot LATE? I'm thinking that means deadmau5 and Booka Shade will go on after the Mainstage Act. If true, that is pretty awesome. Nah, it only means the Wookie is going later than it has in the past. It has ended around 10pm the last couple years. My Morning Jacket will probably play 10pm to 1230am or later. It would be too much to have Deadmau5 play unapposed starting that late. I think the mock schedule has it about right, with Deadmau5 starting after My Morning Jacket starts, and probably ending before My Morning Jacket ends. EDIT: I should say if the headliner was someone like Jane's Addiction, who we expect to only play an hour or so, a set starting after the mainstage headliner could happen. There is a curfew out there, so we shouldn't expect to see any Bonnaroo 2am-4am sets.

It's not like there are a bunch of Lightning Bolt or Squeeze fans who can't make it until 7, so either could switch spots with Flobots/Biz... it was hard enough choosing between The Knux and Mrs. Potato Dick... Yeah, but we all know the lead singer of King Crimson can be a prima donna, and would probably throw a fit if they were not headlining over Gaga, so I think it is more about Gaga wanting to avoid a conflict rather than seniority, even if it is Gaga's first first farewell tour. I'm a bit surprised King Crimson chose Sasquatch to be their first festival appearance with all members of the 5th original lineup, when they could have waited until the festival they curate in Alabama later this summer. Believe it or not, Stomp is huge in Russia, and Russians already have the following Tuesday off for Defender of the Motherland Day. I disagree with you in that respect, because Sasquatch really got it right this year by understanding they shouldn't alienate one of their biggest fan bases. That Flobots/Markie conflict is tough, but I also don't understand why Sinbad is closing the comedy tent at the same time. As most of us know, Biz and Sinbad had shop class together in the 7th grade, and developed a close friendship as the co-captains of the tennis team in high school. Sinbad has joined Biz on stage to play trombone on Busy Doing Nuthin' on his recent bar tour in 1994. I'll dig up the youtube clip a little later when I have more time. The Flobots on the other hand, play every other Sunday at my local church (except when they are on tour), so even though they are one of my can't misses, I think I'll go with Biz Markie, and hope they get Sinbad on one of those VIP medical carts to finish up the set.
