Watching this video from Sasquatch 2010. vimeo.com/22540689I was in the pit on the right side of the stage when I looked down and noticed new jersey staring at the hillside with his back to the stage. I turned around and watched the hillside in awe. By the time I turned back around, it had already made it to the pit. That definitely made me smile. |

I don't get a Family Day because the union I belong to decided to cave at the bargaining table so we get some long weekend in August instead of Family Day.
Pretty weak, although I'd rather have a long weekend in the summer.

Alberta, like the Canadian bible belt that it is, pays families to go ice skating and swim with polar bears one work day a year.

Well it's not just Alberta. It is also Saskatchewan, Ontario and BC next year. Also Manitoba celebrates Louis Riel day and PEI has Islander day on the same day. But your description of what is expected to be accomplished on family day was accurate.
