My new Mac appears to still be working after I spilled wine in it a week ago. Whew!

This Summer I led my first Art Therapy Group with kids who have experienced extreme abuse and neglect. We created this mural as our final project and I'm so fucking proud of them, sexually makes me smile! This is really wonderful. You guys did a great job.

I just learned that my girlfriend won a wristband to MFNW, so we're halfway to both being able to go to a lot of shows!

I survived my first day. I'm officially a Masters student. I've never wanted anything so much or for so long (7 years). Everyone seems wonderful and friendly and sane. I might actually survive six years of this.

As much as I really want to go to both of those shows, I don't think we are. Maybe my girlfriend isn't planning on using her wristband tonight so I could come to Deerhunter, but we'll see about that. I think our selections are going to be:
Thursday: Tobacco at Holocene. Friday: Free Shlohmo and Flume show at the Wonder Ballroom. Saturday: Chromatics and Glass Candy at the Wonder Ballroom.

Oh yeah, she also won a pair of tickets to Neko Case with her wristband, so I guess we'll be going to that.

Oh I'm so in love with Seattle right now. Definitely looking at excuses to come back before Halloween. Not quite at international visa level yet, but it's close!

I'm moving away at the end of the month. Sounds like an excuse to me.

Dude. Don't remind me that I missed babies' show.
Toward the end of the month I will be seeing Further play some deep Grateful Dead cuts, and an acoustic punk band of sorts called the Evens, but neither of these really seem like your style. I will have to look deeper and find somewhere for us to shake our booties.

I have been trying to sell my old broken computer, but since it was broken I was being forced to list it for very cheap since the repairs to it would cost about $400. It was getting me down because it's only a few years old and was top of the line when I bought it. I brought it to the Apple store last year when it broke and they told me I had to pay to fix it, so I just held on to it since I couldn't afford the repairs at the time. Fast forward to today when I bring it in to get another estimate on the repair so I can be honest when I sell it to people, and it turns out they tested it wrong last year and they are fixing it for free! Now instead of selling a broken-but-nice computer for $450, I should be able to sell it for $1000+! This makes me very, very happy.
