Hey all,
Looking for some love here. Trying to get my hands on two 4-day passes for my girlfriends birthday as it falls on the same week and - being a singer - she's even more of a music/festival enthusiast than I am. The two of us work a lot, so I was hoping this festival would finally give us the chance to explore our love for music together.
Bought quatch tickets for her birthday last year, but fate would have it that a trip she had planned to Israel suddenly had to be re-scheduled to the same date. Was planning to rectify the situation this year, but I dropped the ball as I wanted to get a read from her when the lineup was announced and didn't expect it to sell out as quickly as it did.
Anyway, if you have a ticket, hope you get the chance to go. It's definitely going to be a hell of a show. For those who are unfortunate enough to have had something come up, you'd make my girlfriend very happy if you were willing to part with the tickets.
Thanks in advance,
Jeff

If you're going to make additional threads beyond this one -- and please do not take this as an invitation -- make sure they consist of something other than the exact post you put in this thread.

First, I will say, good luck to all getting a ticket.
Second, I will say, "I'm surprised it sold out this quick," is like saying, "really, you can't divide anything by zero?" I know, you all don't pay attention to this as much as we do, but paying a tiny bit of attention will pay dividends. I'm surprised it took as long as it did to sell out, btw.
Third, here is your reward for reading this. Sasquatch 2012 will nearly be sold out before the lineup is announced. Passes will sell out before single day tickets go on sale. Plan ahead.
Fourth, You are all strangers. Some of us like helping out our friends. Just post youtube vids, gifs, movie quotes, tv quotes, and reply to everything you see until you have more posts than I do, and you'll probably get a ticket eventually.

Hi, I'm newjersey, and I want tickets.
Am I going? Once again, no! No, I am not. But, I have a friend who'll be working in Seattle this year who is interested. Why should you give me your passes? Consider:
1. I'm the guy behind "Babies Don't Like Animal Collective, They're Babies" 2. I'm the best poster 3. You have probably enjoyed my work here in the past 4. I'll tell you about "The Book of Mormon," the musical by the South Park guys that you're unable to see because YOU LIVE ON THE WEST COAST, WAA-WAAA.
So if you want to give me your passes for at or near face value in exchange for some of my cred, give me a ring. I love you!

It was really funny, well written, not at all similar to South Park, and when it goes on national tour in four or five years you should get tickets. The one thing is that so little information has gotten out about it at this point that I'm almost hesitant to ruin it, although when the soundtrack comes out in May or June a few major plot points'll-slash-jokes will be ruined, such as what Massa-Tika-Ibu-Wai means and what the one gentleman has in his scrotum.
Also, it makes fun of what Mormons believe a couple times, but that's not what it's about. Any religion with missionaries could probably be subbed in with the general story staying in tact.
Please give me tickets.

I would if I could. I will totally be going to see this when it comes as I'm already a theater geek who loves south park.

I want to see The Book of Mormon so bad. I'm a HUGE fan of Trey and Matt's non-South Park stuff, especially the stuff that focuses on Mormons and Mormonism (Orgazmo, parts of Cannibal!, and of course their dead-on Mormon caricatures on South Park). I've read great things about the new show; I even suggested to Stormy at one point that we go to NY to see it instead of Sasquatch this year (that conversation lasted about five seconds).
