I know a couple people who have passes and might not attend due to a wedding. One of them is sort of a prick, so he'll probably do the scalper route, but the others would probably sell for face value.
There are way too many people looking for tickets, and the "hey, I'm looking for a three day pass, message me" post is getting really old. So is the comment "I just decided to buy my ticket today, and it's sold out." Tickets were on sale for four months before they sold out. Your fault.
But, there is hope for you. This thread is intended for good people to sell tickets to good people. So, here are the rules:
Seller: If you have tickets to sell for face value, pick the person you feel most worthy, based on the value of their reply.
Buyer: If you want tickets for face value, tell the sellers why. Entertain us. Be creative. No begging, sad stories, or illegal offers.

I was just about to start a thread telling sellers (who plan to sell at face value) that they should tell all candidates to write an essay about why they need the tickets and pick the most deserving person by that method.

This is not a writing contest. Just because yarnfan wrote a very nice story doesn't mean that is what everyone has to do. There are many different ways to be entertaining. Also, the discussion posts will eventually be deleted. We don't want the sellers to click on this thread, then go to craigslist instead because of the excess in comments. Have a comment, go here. sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=tix&action=display&thread=600

I'd greatly appreciate two 3-day passes at or around face value.
My story: I live in San Francisco and I love music and festivals, but I found out about this festival only very recently. I think it'd be tons better than Coachella, so I'm holding hope out that I can get tickets somehow.
Acts I really really hope to see:
Vampire Weekend Band of Horses Camera Obscura Tegan and Sara City and Colour Mike Birbiglia - my favorite comedian
Thanks for reading.

I have taken all my kids but the youngest to this festival and we have always enjoyed the music and the community. Two years ago we gasped and laughed when Peter Buck fell coming on stage in the rain. Last year we witnessed a transendent performance by Bon Iver that was unfortunately shortened by technical difficulties at the start of his set, but I still told my son you only see that kind of show once in a great while. This year my son was really looking forward to seeing Vampire Weekend and I to being there with him. Hope someone thinks we might be worthy to purchase a couple tickets for Saturday.

Oh and if you didn't see the thread, here's my sob story for my friend who needs tickets:
My poor friend Yesi grew up in rural South Carolina, where each resident does things like this:
Help this poor girl get more of a cultural influence in the beautiful, intellectual music that resounds from the Gorge and all along the Columbia River. Don't leave her swimming through the murkiest ponds of South Carolina searching for turtles.
