Last year I saw that NIN were doing passes and a meet and greet sidestage deal with Trent Reznor, do bands normally do these at festival settings? Is it just a random draw from fanclub members and media?

NIN had a thing going on for all of their shows during that tour to raise money for medical bills of a friend of the band. People could donate a certain amount for a meet and greet/backstage passes for the band.

I know last year they had that thing to the right of the stage where various and comedians had scheduled times for signings etc.
