keep up with the message board, and check the car pool section, there is a good chance I will be giving rides this year.

I read on a blog that there were sometimes late night sets in the campground. Any truth to this?!

I read on a blog that there were sometimes late night sets in the campground. Any truth to this?! There have been late night sets, but not at the campground. Polyphonic Spree played a late set in 2007 on the Wookie, and although I thought it was a makeup for getting blown off the mainstage (wind cut their set short), others on this board stated it was sponsored by Verizon, and was to occur regardless of the wind. Others stated Ozomatli played a late show in the comedy tent in 2008, also sponsored by Verizon. As for the campground, I wouldn't doubt if there have been mini concerts, as there is always a lot going on, but I've never heard of an actual Sasquatch performer playing in the campground.

This is not my first time at Sasquatch but can someone re-confirm if you are able to come and go as you please or do you have to stay at the site once you're in?
Thanks!

in the past, there has been no re-entry allowed with your vehicle at the campsite or in and out of the venue. it would be nice if they changed the rules on that!

last year, re-entry with your vehicle into the campground was allowed, but not in and out of the venue.

wintermoon while you are very correct that re-entry of vehicles that leave the campsite has been explicitly stated as a no every year, all five times i have stayed in the campsite i have seen it be allowed on a very regular basis. I am not encouraging anybody to rely on this, but if they allow it again this year it is worth checking out for a mid weekend beer/ice trip if you don't wanna spend a million dollars at the general store. Our neighbors one year drove their van down to the water somehow to go swimming during the day. Got in and out of the campground no problem!

The website's statement of "no re-entry" is listed under the premier camping, not the general though. It does happen every year from the main campground. If you want to attempt it, just be sure to get the full name/phone#/SS#/DL# of which employee said you can before you leave.
Either way, I think the original question was more toward leaving the venue itself rather than the campground, and that is never allowed, outside of a catastrophic weather event.

topspin - really? i left one year to stock up at vantage and when i tried to come back in, the security nazi's through a shit fit. they told me i was breaking policy and weren't going to let me in. finally i had to throw a shit fit of my own and i got back in. maybe i just have bad luck, but i will never try to leave again simply to avoid the drama.

my friends and i went to get breakfast in vantage every morning last year and didn't even get a dirty look from any of the security people. if you're worried about them changing that this year, just do your shopping in ellensburg (if you come from that direction) before showing up on friday.

Or if you bypass the Gorge exit by 10 minutes, George has cheap amenities, and colourful locals (very colourful)

Does anyone know how the shuttle system works for the premium grounds? Are there 2 set times, to the gates and back, or do they do a few scattered throughout the day?

Does sasquatch ever sell out? If I go I want a 3 day pass like my friends, but I might not be able to make it and will not be sure until the middle of May so I was wondering if I could still get the pass then? Cheers

Hey guys, first timer here considering going (really want to but am worried about some things..)
My friends and I are considering just sleeping in our cars in the parking lot, think this plan will work at all?
Do we have to pay for the parking alongside our 3 day passes?
How many minutes walk is the parking lot away from the stage?
Thanks in advance guys.

Don't sleep. You're better safe than sorry -- if you can't go, sell that shit on craigslist.

How many minutes walk is the parking lot away from the stage? Thanks in advance guys. Sleeping in the car won't work because I'm pretty sure the festival empties the parking lot at night. Other people know about nearby camping, and I'll let them tackle possible solutions to your problem. Parking has been free in the past, and it should continue to be so this year. It takes you five minutes to walk from car to line. Then another span of time between line and door which depends on when you show up. Maybe 20 minutes? More is possible in my experience. And once you're inside, three or so minutes to the main stage; less to the others. I showed up at what I thought was a reasonable time last year and found I had to run to catch The Gaslight Anthem on the main stage. Additional advice: Festival security doesn't like running.
