Patterson totally reminds me of a mix between Bruce and Neil Young, has The Boss' social awareness and lyricism, but plays guitar like Neil. BTW Bruce destroys all and Neil is God to this planet and others saw both of them three times each in the last year and a half, each one was the best show I'd ever seen.

I like this game!
Drive-By Truckers did a whole album last year with Neil Young and Booker T called Potato Hole!
He also wrote song about Neil Young and Ronnie Van Zant aptly named, "Ronnie and Neil" love this video!!!!!
and Bruce is too amazing to even be human!

www.mountainstage.org/DBT's on the Mountain Stage, should have a stream up soon. Also isn't crazy how easily "Hard to be A Saint in the City" could be an amazing Hold Steady song today?

Craig Finn is basically biting the Boss' flow from Greetings and The E Street shuffle, still fun though... Anyway, here's a great diddy about southern incest - one we can all sing a long to!

Just listened to it this morning - Unreal!!!!!! Patterson, Mike, and Shonna are brilliant:) Definitely feels like their most cohesive album (not that that hurt the others in any way). Love the keys and organ, goddamn beautiful! They all sound like great live tunes, the back half finishes out soooooo strong. Wish they could have a 2hr + set!

BTW, Jacketman did you go see them in Seattle Nov 2008? and were you stayin' at the Green Tortoise? No I missed that one. I live in Calgary and we were down in Portland and Seattle at the end of september 08 for My Morning Jacket. Couldn't make the trip for DBT as well. I'm pissesd cause we can only come for the saturday of the festival so i will be missing DBT among many other bands i wish i could stay and see.

DBT are a fantastic band, and probably the discovery i'm most excited about for this year.
