It is no more convenient than say, ticketswest (which many of our native PNW board members will be familiar with) which charges a third of those fees, at best (I mean hey, operation costs have to be in there somewhere right?)

yeah when I went to Pemberton in Canada (which was distributed by a different company) I remember it being pretty similar but when I went to Roskilde in Denmark the tickets were about $300 and they only hit us with about $6 in service fees (which included the mailing of the tickets)... either it costs 4x more to internationally distribute tickets out of north america or someone's up to something...
I just tried to get tickets off the ticketmaster site for all three days, it seems there are still tickets for sunday and monday, but saturday might be sold out. Anyone heard anything about this?
Yes, it appears Saturday is sold out. I thought Sunday would be the first day to sell out, but ticketmaster.com is giving the message they give when tickets are sold out, for Saturday only.
There are still three day tickets on sale, so I might guess this is so they sell more Monday tickets. They will probably put Saturday tickets back on sale at a later date if this strategy doesn't work.
Whatever happened to, when it sells out its actually sold out. I don't understand how ticketmaster can be allowed to have these "strategies", where they put up and take down different combination's of the festival passes. It's bullshit
Yes I've noticed you mention Ticketmaster sucks, I guess I;ve just never seen this type of shit before. Didn't Ticketmaster just lose millions in a law suit over fake bruce springsteen tickets or something. They must be stopped!
yeah they do that kind of shit sometimes, they'll pull the day that's selling the best off the market temporarily to boost 3-day pass sales, since some people might go into "oh shit" mode and spend more thinking the festival is about to sell out. this could be a hint that saturday is selling at a much faster pace than sunday and monday and they're trying to equalize it. ticketmaster pulls these kinds of shenanigans all the time, it shouldn't surprise anyone.
