Shitty and too much; go to a grocery store (QFC) and buy several 12-packs of PBR.

Dude, buy your beer in the States. It's WAY cheaper, even with exchange.

but if i have to drink twice as much... Bud is 5.0%, Miller Lite is like 3.5%, PBR - 5.0%. If you want strong cheap beer, stay away from Miller Lite and go for PBR or Bud. I just hate the taste of Bud. Most microbrews (which I highly recommend) will have the percentage on the bottle. They are generally 4.5% to 7.0%. I know beers are a little stronger in Canada, but are they really that much more than 5.0%?

ok perfect. most are 5.0%, but there is a wide range (anywhere from 3.5% to 11%). I've just heard a lot of stories of weak beer in the states.

The reason you are hearing that American beer is weak, is that the most popular (and most available) beers in the States are Bud Lite and Miller Lite or Coors Light. Both beers taste like water and only have 3.5%. Most sports stadiums, and other events will only have a few beers and chances are they are light beers. Stay away from those if you want to get hammered quickly, but I would recommend a good variety. Get some water-beer for when it's 30+ out, get some nice micro-brews for when it's managable weather outside, and then get some potato vodka for when night comes and it starts getting freezing fucking cold.

Alex, I believe your inquiry is based on Molson, which rumor has it is stronger in Canada, and watered down in the US. If you prefer Molson, buy it in Canada. Otherwise, like I8 said, buy a bunch of PBR.
