Who? Broken Social Scene Where? Shepherd's Bush, London When? May 2008 Amazing show. BSS really brought the heat that night. They played for over 2 hours with two encores. Finally got to hear Pacific Theme live, which is my favorite BSS song (first song to be played at my wedding reception). For their first encore, I think it was the bassist who played along with some voice dialogue they had recorded. It was of a neighbor of one of the bandmates who had the ear surgery to finally make her hear. She described how the sensation of sound reverberated through her body and how it made her feel - which was amazing. The band member played along with the voice track which seemed very off the cuff and not rehearsed but it was an amazing live moment. I believe that would be Charles Spearin and the Happiness project you might be referring to. He plays with BSS sometimes, and that sounds a lot like a song on his record. Check it out if you get a chance. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Charles_Spearinen.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Happiness_Project

Thats exactly it. Thanks for the links. It was really moving stuff. My favorite song on the album is actually "Vittoria". It's probably the catchiest song, but also the first song of his that I heard. Really interesting composition.
