Davers it is possible that you were taking the comments I was directing at whatever that other guy's name is as being aimed at you. Well, at one point you did quote something I said and then claimed to be more intelligent than me, but I won't split hairs here.

If theres one thing that I've gotten out of this debate I just wanted to point out that someone actually learned something from an internet debate. Perhaps there is something to this internet thing afterall... One last question though, when you go to a concert.....the artist plays (usually) their best/favorite tracks from all their albums....how different is it with the system I had? (not saying they're the same, just similar) In my opinion, they still pick the tracks to flow together, and, the biggest difference, they actually wrote the songs! At festivals especially artists will tend to stick to the more well known songs, because they know that lots of the people may not be too familiar with all of their work, since there are doezens of bands people are there to see, and unless you are HG its pretty hard to know them all. At normal concerts, they will dig a bit deeper into their body of work since the shows are longer and the fans will generally know more about them. I agree with what kymess (interesting name choice by the way) said that deleting songs from an album is a bit of a fuck you to the artist. They made the album that way for a reason. You had a great analogy with watching only the action parts of a movie. You may think they are the best part, but it takes away from the film as a whole. So yeah, in summary, they can do it because they own the songs and they obviously mean a hell of a lot more to them than they do to you.

But some people hate that. I'm in the same boat as you. Their set at Coachella was simply sublime...and most people hated it. I was in love!!! It was funny to watch all those bros waiting for My Girls, only for it not to be played.

10. Bright Eyes - I was disappointed when I saw them in 2005 at the Moore, way back when I was living in Seattle. Too many pubescent girls screaming, "Marry me, Conor!". Too many weak songs. I want more I'm Wide Awake but I don't think that's where he's headed with his setlists this year. Here's hoping. As discussed, excellent first post. Anyway, HEY I WAS AT THAT SHOW! One of my first in Seattle. All I really remember about it is the band opening with Sunrise, Sunset. Sunrise, sunset. You lucky guy. That's a great song. (You might be wondering why I am responding to a post that was posted many moons ago. I drank a wee bit of whiskey tonight and decided to read this whole thread. I came across this gem of a post and had to respond)
