Apparently, I misunderstood that this was the thread in which you listed the top 10 acts that you wanted to see. So sorry.

These threads are rarely on topic! You're probably more likely to be on topic when you're not.

I like how you threw in WKD instead of BE. Nice touch.

As a huge Wolf Parade fan, I'm glad that the boarders are (seemingly) as excited as I am to see their last show. It kinda sucks that they're mid-afternoon, and relatively short but beggars can't be choosers I guess.
Bassnectar is going to be insane, and I'm glad everyone's psyched for that show. I've seen him twice in the last year and he blew the speakers up both times - one of which he damaged the sound system so bad he couldn't finish his set. <EPIC ENDING>
I'm Pretty shocked to see DFAMCMLXXIX at #2 - I know it's a "reunion" show but jeez - they only have one album people.
Bands that are lower down on the list which I highly reccomend are: Wye Oak, Smith Westerns, The Antlers, and Mariachi el Bronx (which only appeared on 2 lists and therefore not on the above compilation).
Oh - and for the love of god go see Rodrigo y Gabriella if you haven't yet. I was luke warm on them until I saw them last Saturday at the SF Oysterfest. Both are incredibly talented guitarists and a pleasure to watch.

Sorry sagesquatch. You seem like an excellent new poster, but Chromeo ALWAYS beats Wolf Parade in a tie.

Oh come on! Chromeo is fun and all - a great live show to be sure - but Wolf Parade is 10x the band Chromeo is. Apologies to the Queen Mary is one of those albums that is going to stand the test of time. Can't say that about Fancy Footwork, even though it has some great party and dance tunes.

Pea - how do you think I did on the other ties - I tried to sort them according to my level of stoke to see them.
Edit: except for ranking # 34. I don't know what happened there.

Ohhh my crusty old ancient Sasquatch opinion doesn't really matter. I'm just mildly obsessed with Chromeo and had to express my concern in your listing order of them

yeah, I'm gonna have to miss Bright Eyes. I think by 8:00 I'm gonna want to be listening to more upbeat music. I'll be checking out Matt & Kim and then the Glitch mob during their set.

DFA may only have one album, but I've seen them 3 times and loved every show. I'm also a fan of Sebastien Grainger and the Mountains and I dig some MSTRKRFT stuff as well. I will admit a lot of their hype is more than I would expect and is mostly hearsay hype like OFWGKTA. I also expect the reaction to DFA's performance to be much like OFWGKTA's Coachella performance. People who like them will love the show and people who aren't that into them, but want to see what all the fuss is all about will likely be "Meh"
