After seeing that lineup I wouldn't be displeased at all if Sasquatch was a "Mini-Coachella" this year. That lineup is badass through and through. It will be interesting though to see which of those bands do cross over and sort of do the festival tour over the summer.

I see many of them overlapping with us
Namely vampire weekend, kevin devine, mgmt, pavement (duh), Miike snow, yo la tengo ( i freaking wish), Julian Casablancas, white rabbits & grizzly bear.
I still wonder who is going to headline though... Besides pavement

about 60% of the bands on that lineup are ones I was hoping for sasquatch this year. It'll definitely be interesting to see who they can pull from there. And Grace Jones?! Gary Numan?!?! how wonderful and unexpected. I might be California bound this spring.

Can we just get Coachella without Muse, Jay-Z, Gorillaz(they would be cool but I doubt they'd play), Tiesto, and Coheed? It's pretty much just packed from top to bottom. Give us Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, and a few others and I'm great.
It won't happen though, sadness.

Me too. Yeah, Coachella minus headliners plus adding Arcade Fire and BSS would be awesome.

You know, I don't see anything too amazing on this poster...I think that as far as big names go, the only ones that excite me are the Dead Weather and Gorillaz, but most of the rest of these are either within the grasp of sasquatch, past or future, or are acts you could catch in the NW at some point. Maybe not Tiesto, but whatever. All I'm saying is I don't feel like Coachella has anything really exclusive or stunning...

Apparently thats just how Thom Yorke wants to be billed from now on, according to Pitchfork. That line up is great, I would love to see a lot of crossovers coming to Sasquatch. Arcade Fire and The Pixies not being at Coachella almost confirms for me that they are not doing the Summer circuit of festivals, which sucks. I still have my fingers crossed though. A few crossovers I expect to see are Spoon, Deerhunter and The Cribs since their touring at around that time. As long as we get a few of those headliners (preferably Thom Yorke? ) and Yo La Tengo, I'd be satisfied.

The major problem with that is the Cribs are playing Seattle soon and Spoon is going to Primaver, which doesn't count either out, but puts serious doubt into their arrival

Yeah, the guy only headlined Glastonbury a couple years ago, and that set was awesome - check youtube. Another related hip-hop question, with Jay-Z at Coachella but no Beastie Boys, does that mean that its more likely for the Beastie Boys to be at Sasquatch? I could see them starting off their 2010 tour with a Sasquatch show. Of course it depends on MCA's health, but last I heard he was doing well in recovery.

Looking at the crossover acts that are a possibility with tour dates in Seattle I would say any of these could be up for grabs: LCD Soundsystem Them Crooked Vultures Vampire Weekend Passion Pit (skip Seattle almost means they will be there again) She & Him Faith No More MGMT The Dead Weather (I always get my hopes up for Jack White at Sasquatch) Hot Chip Dirty Projectors SDRE Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros Local Natives Miike Snow (cancelled their Seattle show) Owen Pallett The Middle East Jonsi The Glitch Mob

For me, Coachella opens up a few possibilities I hadn't considered would be doing festivals: Sleigh Bells and Mayer Hawthorne chief among them for me, but also now there's the million-to-one shot that DJ FREAKIN' LANCE ROCK shows up at Sasquatch. If he does the dance tent it would be amazing: I saw him last year open up for the Aquabats, the crowd really gets into it if they don't mind rolling their eyes a bit.

Ugh apparently Bonnaroo is announcing on Feb 2nd, I wish Sasquatch would announce before the festival that just gathers from all festivals announces.
