everything I said applies to Pearl Jam x10 and you're crazy if you think NIN could headline the gorge on their own. On an odd note, when we were talking about Puscifer/Tool/APC, I decided to look up old APC tour dates. They opened for someone at the Gorge in like 01 or 03. It was NIN. Who couldn't headline on their own Looks like I was definitely wrong. My apologies. In my defense, this show was in 2000, almost a decade ago and Nine Inch Nails has been getting secondary billing at shows like Lolla, Coachella, and Bonnaroo.

If Soundgarden is playing, I see it beeing: Soundgarden/ Pavement/ LCD Soundsystem
I know that LCD isn't a huge headliner, but they are subheadliners at Coach and Bonnaroo and headlining Pitchdork.

I don't think they are big enough and that would also mean that two of Sasquatch's headliners are subheadliners at Coachella. I really hope that LCD are going to there, but it would be swell if they were just subheadliners, going into Beasties or MMJ or Arcade Fire.

I really don't see the Beasties being there...not because they've played before, but just because it seems so...I don't know, out of the blue I guess

i agree that LCD probably wouldn't headline.
Every headliner that Sasquatch has ever had has been an artist that has been established for years except the Postal Service, and KOL (who are probably one of the biggest new mainstream bands of the last few years)
Even the thought of Pavement headlining surprises me, but i am perfectly fine with a longer set from them. I also can't imagine FNM or TCV headlining either.
Soundgarden and The Flaming Lips are the only 2 mentioned that really seem to connect with me.
David Byrne and Beck both have collaborative records out this year that could push them into the foreground.
Overall i'm kind of stumped though.

I do think it's kind of awesome, and a credit to Sasquatch, that we have this pool of Flaming Lips, Arcade Fire, Beastie Boys, Soundgarden, Faith No More, Pearl Jam, My Morning Jacket, LCD Soundsystem, Jack Johnson, and whoever else to fill the other two headlining spots (assuming Pavement headlines) and yet we have absolutely no idea, no matter what anyone says, of which two it's gonna be.

I agree. They have definitely kept a lid on it, this year. The only headliners that would be a let down are Jack Johnson and Smashing Pumpkins. As mentioned previously, I would throw Beck into the mix as well. I still want a leak this weekend.

MMJ feels like a choice out of left field - where's that coming from? And I'd say that Flaming Lips, Arcade Fire, LCD, MMJ and our favorite Jack Johnson are the most likely out of the bands listed to be a headliner. Everything I've heard would lead me to believe that you will not see a band in heavy rotation on The End close out any stage this year, but I hope I'm wrong.

I mean, they're big in the south, but at least in the midwest, they're a subheadliner at best.

if you look at the history of Sasquatch when it has been 3 days the last 2 years, there is usually 2 Big headliners( acts that can headline anywhere) and one smaller headliner( acts that could headline at smaller festivals or subheadliners at bigger festivals.), so if we use that logic, that means pavement takes the flaming lips, ben harper and relentless seven spot on monday. I would guess, that the other 2 headliners would be big meaning acts like LCD, Faith No More, MMJ and Arcade fire would not headline( but might be in the line up).....
excluding the Super Headliners ( acts like Paul Mccartney, U2, Radiohead)
we can probably see acts like-
Gorillaz, Soundgarden, Depeche Mode, and yes, Jack Johnson, they would all Fit the Bill.
I just don't know what other big names would be touring, KOL, Janes addiction would not be a consideration because sasquatch wouldn't have headliners 2 years in a row.
There might be a chance to get something real different like, Peter Gabriel or Neil Young.
Peter Gabriel has some dates in may in north america. Plus he is releasing that covers album, and if acts like Vampire , hot chip and Arcade fire are there, all artists he has covered or worked with, that could provide some fun.
But that is a shot in the dark, because of the lack of info.
Based on history though, sasquatch has the pull to get 2 big headliners.
Any other names we could add to headliners that are touring right now?

Gorillaz are in the superheadliner category because of the money it takes to put on their show. A good chunck of the money goes to the artists that collaborate on the albums that Albarn has play in the live setting. Thus why Coachella is the only one to have them headline this year. I wish they would play anyways!!!

Also keep in mind ticket prices went up. It's possible they went up based on the size of one or even 2 of the unannounced headliners. Of course it's entirely possible they went up based only on inflation prices.
I'm still stumped, but I love a good guessing game.

Hey Andimac., I just thought of Gorillaz because of what I read on COS of a possible Tour, since most of the festivals have been announced, I just thought that if they are planning a tour in north America, it would start after Coachella and the would end around Bonnaroo, but since they are not at the Roo....
As per COS.......
Now if all this wasn’t a good enough reason to pick up the album, then perhaps this is: According to an article printed in the Belgium newspaper Le Soir (via Gorillaz-Unofficial), Plastic Beach will be the last Gorillaz album. Though that certainly sucks, the article does note that a tour (in addition to an upcoming Coachella appearance) looks to be in the works.

I see where you are coming from funnygrrl and its been a dream of mine to see them live at a venue like the gorge. I've read several interviews with Albarn where he talks about the expensive nature of their tour set up. I guess it is mucho expensive to have the graphics, the backing band and the special guests. So this year they have Mos Def, Lou Reed, a couple of dudes from a band called the Clash, The Horrors, Little Dragons, Snoop Dogg etc. etc. who they like to have play with them live as they did on the album. This added with the fact that they are one of the rarest of rare acts to perform live makes them a great add to any fest. I for one would absolutely love to see them at Sasquatch this year, however, I just don't want to get my hopes up like the inforoo people and be hugely let down. When it was first rumored that they were playing Coachella, the article stated that the Gorillaz would probably go on tour, but Coach would be there only festival appearance this year. I can't find the article as of right now, but will keep looking. I would love for Sasquatch to get an act this year that was just special to them. Last year was the first year I didn't stay at the mainstage for the headliner since I started going. Hell, I didn't see any of the three because I just wasn't interested and thank god there were sweet Wookie closers (EitS were amazing and will be seeing them again at ATP NY!!!!) and dance tent headliners that it didn't matter.

On a completely unrelated note, what about Jimmy Eat World?
To be real, I have no reason to believe they'll be there aside from the fact that they are playing Soundwave Festival in February so at least they are still in business and doing festivals! (even though it's in Australia haha)
