Here is where you can discuss possible headliners. Please stay on topic and be civil or I will delete your comments.
My guess:
Pavement, Soundgarden and the Flaming Lips doing the Dark Side of the Moon.

I'm completely with you on Soundgarden but I just don't see The Flaming Lips there this year, maybe next. I'm afraid they will run the risk of turning into The Flaming Lips festival. I would love to see Neil Young but I would bet he is just a bit out of our price range. Another band that would be amazing would be Rage Against the Machine but when I was reading about that show they were playing to celebrate the british pop chart victory, it sounded like they weren't touring otherwise. I really think it might be My Morning Jacket (with a really strong sub-headliner?).

I think another more current headliner would have to be there like MMJ.

It is 100% confirmed that Pavement is a Headliner? Because if Soundgarden plays, it is almost a big time lean to 90's alt rock

Soundgarden won't be there. I'm sorry to rain on your parade, but they won't be.

Based on...?
Everyone I've talked to about it says that something with Soundgarden is being worked on, but hasn't happened yet.
Pavement is 100 percent confirmed. I can't see them not being a headliner.

looking nice and clean.
I'm not going to lie--soundgarden would be logical. I don't personally want it, but that's not the issue here. Looking at the artists of headliner-caliber that are playing elsewhere, I feel like Gorillaz would fit Sasquatch. Additionally, Sasquatch and Coach shared a headliner in 2009, 2007 and generally share several artists. If they were to share one this year, I see only Gorillaz as being possible.

as much as no one wants to hear it there is a good chance Jack Johnson headlines one night. I know it's not exciting but its possible, and don't say he's "not a sasquatch! band" because we've had KoL, Ben Harper (2), Coldplay, DCFC, and.....Jack Johnson before. And Jack's got a huge break from his word tour in May.
Jack Johnson Pavement Soundgarden?

I would love to see the Gorillaz, but they are hugely expensive because they play a whole album through and have most of their collaborators participate in the live experience. It would be killer, but Coachella has the money and notoriety.

since the old thread got removed i'm just going to say this once and let it go after this. It's not that Jack Johnson doesn't fit the style of Sasquatch, he absolutely does. He would fit in incredibly well and I'm sure the organizers would want to have him. That said, I don't see any motivation for him to do it. He routinely headlines much larger festivals and more importantly headlined the gorge on his own last summer. It really makes little sense for him to be at Sasquatch based on this information. Sure it's possible he will be there but I wouldn't consider it likely no matter how you look at it.

I DID NO SUCH THING
(Ok, yes I did. However what that person said was that they weren't in the confirmed lineup, and that it was highly unlikely that they'd add a headliner at the last second. Everything I've heard re: Soundgarden since then says they're wrong in that regard).

If you look at other bands who have headlined, there are other bands who are capable of doing the same, if they haven't already. Nine Inch Nails seems to be a band of that caliber. And further, Pearl Jam is perpetually rumored as a Sasquatch band (for obvious reasons) but they've done the Gorge themselves at times.
