Rise Against just added another festival date stateside, this time Rock on the Range in Ohio. They're doing Bonnarroo as well, but a bunch of European festivals, with that in the middle, so at least three plane flights hauling all their gear around (from the states to Denmark, then from Germany to Tennessee, then Tennessee to Sweden) - given that they're doing a load of festivals, that right now they have about a 9 day gap in their schedule, and they haven't played the area since July..I guess it's possible, certainly more likely than before. Apparently they're also doing Vive Latino in April, so another festival. If they don't do Sasquatch I really think Bumbershoot might be their destination over here. If they did play, do yall see them headlining?

I'm a huge Decemberists fan and I declare their chance of being at Sasquatch to be zero. They just got off of a yearlong tour (including a stop at Sasquatch '09) and three Decemberists are currently working on a side project together. 1% chance of coming. The side project is going around the Pacific NW, but it's, well... www.myspace.com/blackprairieSo is it 0% or 1%? 1%, only because they're not currently scheduled for anything and therefore could do a one-off, but that'd be so unlikely, wouldn't it be?

I put them right in there with Jack Johnson, Ben Harper (at least these days) and in my opinion Beastie Boys, who just don't fit the vibe at Sasquatch! and shouldn't be aloud anywhere near the Gorge during Memorial Day weekend... Soooo close now! I cant wait til Monday night!!!!!

Camera Obscura is in the US this Spring. Their tour dates end April 25th, but they play Portland, Eugene and Bellingham. Nothing in Seattle.
Not a hugely solid rumour, but no Seattle dates leads me to believe they might be at Sasquatch
Edit...I don;t believe anyone has mentioned them yet, but if so...sorry for the repetition

I remember there being rumors of Alice In Chains instead of Soundgarden this year. Chains' last date is on May 27th and they have STP on the bill with them. I would definitely welcome those two as this years NIN/Janes Addiction evening.

Phoenix, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, Temper Trap and She & Him seem like decent bets. I'm hoping for Them Crooked Vultures, My Morning Jacket, Wilco and/or The National as well.
EDIT: The Temper Trap have a break during Sasquatch weekend but they'll be in England before and Paris afterward... pretty unlikely. I'd also like to reiterate the below post. Wilco's not coming either.

I just don't see Wilco making a trip from Primavera specifically to play at Sasquatch. The National is a good bet with their recent dates, I just can't get into these guys they just seem like such wussys. As far as TCV, we can all hope and pray but I think Dead Weather is more likely.

Wouldn't that be hilarious if Stone Temple Pilots was a headliner, with Alice in Chains the subheadliner, then Soundgarden gets added, pooping each of them down a slot?

I'd really say sasquatch doesn't have a "vibe" - more than most other festivals it's just a random smattering of bands from across the board.

Them Crooked Vultures is incredible live. I wouldn't write off TCV just because The Dead Weather seems possible. They're not mutually exclusive. Both would be great (though TDW is my least favorite of Jack White's projects).
How possible is The Arcade Fire? They put on an incredible show in 07. Could be a possible headliner (similar to The Flaming Lips in persona). I'd rather they be a subheadliner but the days of Bjork and Beastie Boys headlining may be temporarily behind us with the economy where it is.

I think it has a indie-rock feel for sure with an emphasis on PNW bands. Most bands on the line-up are guitar driven indie rock, and then they add in a few hip-hop acts, some electronic acts, and a little international flair. Just my 2cents.

Travis from Ear Candy brought this up and as unlikely as it seems it sure would be cool... Monsters of Folk brings both She & Him and My Morning Jacket

I really wish my thesis on this didn't get deleted along with the rest of the pre-crisis Headliners thread... In short, if the information from January is still true (album in early Summer, doing festivals first) then it is now guaranteed that the Arcade Fire headline Sasquatch this year on the grounds that the next suitable festivals are in August.

It truly rivaled the feeling I had when watching The White Stripes and the White Stripes are my favorite band of all time. I know that makes me a sucker, but TDW are stellar live. About the Arcade Fire, the next time they play a festival, they will headline because they are now on their third record and I believe they put on the best live show around when it comes to musicality and spirit, lacking the showy lights and dazzle of most headliners. I'm okay with that because I sure as hell would have AF over any of the headliners Sasquatch has had minus their bffs Flips, Bjork and the Pixies.

I miss my rumors list that I made. I kinda worked a long time to figure shit out just to have it deleted. Whatevs, I just can't wait for the line up. Final Predictions should be due Monday morning just for shits and giggles.
