Soundgarden is all but confirmed for Lollapalooza. seems odd that they'd skip their home state festival. maybe not enough money was thrown around.

i'd much rather see them at sasquatch instead of what might be a half assed set at bumbershoot where they'd have to be done by 11pm because of the noise ordinance

Whats the deal with the report that they are replacing the main stage before Sasquatch?

Whats the deal with the report that they are replacing the main stage before Sasquatch? You know as much as we do right now. I'm interested to see what happens, though, and what changes they make. Perhaps something to minimize exposure to wind/rain?

I've peppered this board with some ideas of possible (realistic) adds, but I should probably put them all together here. I think Ratatat would make a lot of sense because of their production work/affiliation with Kid Cudi. The Antlers start a US tour with the National on June 1st so they could make the quick trip stateside from Primavera with all the other bands. And lastly, what about Hot Chip? Have they played in Seattle lately? They have a hyped up new release.
I know it is foolish to anticipate any big names, but the fact is the ticket prices rose this year and there just aren't the sort of big name headliners you expect coming a year after they brought in names like KoL, Jane's Addiction and NIN. Bands like MMJ and Ween are phenomenal live, but they aren't household names (or iTunes famous, as we now say). Last year they added Crystal Castles and Mos Def, but I think this year we could see even more adds.
So Hot Chip, Ratatat, and the Antlers...those are my predictions.

+` to Hot Chip & the Antlers. Ratatat would be fantastic.
Pretty Lights is still my number one 'next to be added' band.

I was actually not familiar with Pretty Lights until you said that, but I would definitely be on board. They seem like a reasonable add.

The Antlers would be great but they are playing Primavera on the 29th of May then their in Boston for back to back shows on the 6th of June. Sounds like they got too much on their plate.

yeah, it wouldn't make much sense to squeeze a trip all the way to Seattle between Barcelona and Boston. Good catch.

Plus I've just been informed that they are playing at Nuemos in Seattle on May 5th. I'll be there.

Wonder if the Thermals are out of the question.

Ratatat would be sick! I saw them play last year at the Showbox Sodo in Seattle and it was one of the best shows I have ever seen. We can only hope....

Hé, that's a little allegro. "Reatard" Jay; (delay of Jay, as you really said you dies), therefore is not a recent addition with Sasquatch! Pleasant test, nevertheless.

With New Pornographers already there lest have Destroyer (Dan Bejar) do a set. And what about BSS guitarist Andrew Whiteman playing as Apostle of Hustle. Just saying.....

No Chromeo ((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((( pls omg pls Did anyone else think that the Chromeo DJ set sucked. Dave One can't mix, and Pee Thug was just standing there holding a mic for show. I expect Dam-Funk & Hudson Mohawke to be much better party-rockers. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if James Murphy played a set as well.
