We should know everything they're going to say by around 11:15. What's this Bonnaroo situation people are mentioning? The Bonnaroo line-up was announced by each band individually throughout the day. Essentially one band every 20 to 30 minutes was released so if you wanted to know the line-up you had to check CoS or Inforoo Board all throughout the day. It was a shitty way to announce a shitty line-up. People kept waiting to hear some big names that never came. It was a fiasco.

I actually really liked the way Bonnaroo announced their lineup. They would send out a new artist name via Twitter every five or six minutes for a span of quite a few hours. I enjoyed the distraction throughout the day and it made smaller names like the Avett Brothers or Regina Spektor pleasant surprises that generated quite a few additional tweets and microblogs.
I think it would have been a much bigger success if a) their lineup was better and b) it wasn't so anticlimactic because so many of their bigger names were already confirmed or heavily rumored. When they announced Stevie Wonder at the end, everyone responded with a collective ho-hum. If that was a sexier name, and if people weren't expecting it, it would have been a huge payoff.

It was every 6 minutes and the problem with doing this, was it built expectations so high by the end when they named Stevie Wonder, people were pissed because they were expecting Neil Young and Roger Waters.
My only advice at this moment is to not get your hopes up to high that it is a let down in the end. However, I'm squealing like a little girl and will be on edge until tonight.
My last list: Pavement, The Flaming Lips, LCD Soundsystem, MGMT, Vampire Weekend, The Dead Weather, Phoenix, The National, The New Pornographers, Broken Social Scene, Band of Horses, Passion Pit, Devo, Fucked Up, She & Him, Dirty Projectors, Joanna Newsom, Broken Bells, 2ManyDJs, Mastodon, SDRE, Quasi, Hot Chip, Chromeo, Dr. Dog, the xx, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Janelle Monae, Gang Gang Dance, Dan Deacon, Mew, !!!, Hockey, Japandroids, Girls, Local Natives,The Middle East, Jamie Liddel, Mayer Hawthorne, Miike Snow, Flying Lotus, Why?, Nada Surf, Tallest Man on Earth, The Antlers, Cymbals Eat Guitars, Baroness, Neon Indian, Pyramiddd, Yacht, Glitch Mob, Wale, The Constellations, Vetiver, Morning Teleportation
Remember I don't know shit and am from Idaho so give me a break!!!

If the lineup is not leaked in the next couple hours (a strong possibility), I have a feeling Earcandy will be the first posting the lineup. I'm guessing he can type faster than Snarf can text.

I am only lukewarm on the headliners listed by earcandy, but that next group (Thom Yorke/LCD Soundsystem/Them Crooked Vultures/Dead Weather/Devo/New Pornographers/Sunny Day Real Estate/Mudhoney/Phoenix/Broken Social Scene/She & Him/Minus the Bear/MGMT/The Middle East/The xx/jj/Dirty Projectors/Porcupine Tree/The National/Vampire Weekend/Hot Chip/Nada Surf) would make me very happy.

I for one am going to miss reading all of you interneting interneters arguing about something we have little idea about. It has been a very entertaining last few months! In a way, tonight's announcement is bittersweet because it means saying goodbye to the speculation and guessing game and to all of you! I hope we can all find something to debate in the months leading up to Sasquatch! Maybe stage placements? Enjoy the lineup announcement! It has been tons of fun reading your predictions and rumors!!

stage placements and possible conflicts were discussed last year after the lineup came out. i'd expect continued discussion this year too

So I know this is going to sound stupid, but keep in mind that if I were lying, why would I wait until now to stir up false rumors? Seems stupid to me. Nonetheless, I have no hard evidence for my claims, so believe what you will.
I just spoke with a source I trust very much who claimed to have seen the lineup. I begged and begged, but he refused to even name the headliners. The only band he confirmed positively was The New Pornographers. They're Monday.
He also was willing to confirm that Phoenix, The Arcade Fire, and Soundgarden were all NOT on the lineup he saw, that Pavement was not, in the way he saw the lineup presented, headlining, and that all three headliners were, as he put it, "unexpected." He warned, however, that they are unexpected partly because they're KOL-style unproven headliners. That signals to me no Jack Johnson and no Pearl Jam (of course). He gave one last hint: the headliner Pavement leads into is not a US band.
Sorry I don't have anything more than that, and sorry I don't have evidence of any sort.

Was your source employed by a radio station in Seattle? That's where most of my info's come from, although I won't say which one (s)

i wonder if pavement got pooped from a headlining slot because ticket sales were so slow when they were about the only known band to be playing.

Wow. I really thought pavement would be headlining. And phoenix and soundgarden are great possibilities but they were never really materialized. Now if this is at all true we have questions.
not us? that would be interesting. if their unproven headliners it's not reunion station this year.

I would not be surprised if Pavement is pooped. They're a novelty, not a headliner.

Cos just tweeted: Just got the Sasquatch! 2010 lineup. Will post it when we're allowed, later this evening. Boy, is it good! Then they tweeted, Correction: Really good. Sounds awesome I just posted this on confirmations thread , but here we can speculate more, do you think that means they got soundgarden to headline the monday night after, pavement, to have 3 bonfide headliners. I wonder who else got the line-up. The Stranger? Maybe the Seattle Times? Anyone know how to hack into a newspaper website? You gotta figure there is an article with the full line-up waiting to get posted, that is just sitting there in cyberspace. I wonder when during the announcement party they are actually going to release the line-up. My guess would be at the end, after the bands play. So it wont be until 10 or 11 til we get the line-up. So I guess that means 1 or 2 on the east coast? Luckily I have to be up late anyway.
