So does this mean we might get a glimpse of some of the lineup before prices go up on the 16th? I'm assuming they'll release some bands before midnight (when the prices should increase), but maybe not. I do believe you are correct. Ticketmaster says the cheap tickets are on sale until midnight tomorrow night, and we should all know the lineup prior to that. It seems to defeat the purpose of increasing the price after the lineup is announced.

Well, come on, it's not like the entire Sasquatch contingent is going to be dutifully refreshing twitter every ten seconds and making the decision in the two hour grace period they have to know both the lineup and the tickets.
Midnight Pacific time, though, right?

"For more information on The Gorge and the Gorge Campground go to: Live Nation.
This 3 day event will go off sale February 15, 2010 at 11:59pm."
Are we sure this is midnight pacific time? All of the other times I've purchased tickets newly released it was at noon EST.

That woulda been cool if, since the show is free and all, they webcast the show. We'd get to see the bands as well as see the dramatics of that lineup announcement instead of the much less exciting ordeal of constantly keeping an eye on a twitter account.

Well, and I might be misinformed, but my understanding is that unless a show is 21 and over only, it can't go past 11 in Seattle (I've seen Pearl Jam at the Key and they were bringing up the lights on them as they finished, you could tell they wanted to play more). So there's a bit of lead time...

I didn't think so either, it was just something I'd noticed over time..but then either harms or GregR and I were talking and it came up, so I guess if it's coming from them it might actually exist. Or it might be venue specific policy, I don't know. I'd love to see it in writing. But I think the Croc is subject to this either way

We've all pretty much assumed they would slowly announce the lineup throughout the show tonight, and I hope they do, but I'm starting to think maybe they will just wait until the end of the night, then make the announcement at midnight (technically the 16th, like they've been saying since last year).
Maybe I should hold off on cracking that first beer.

That's possible, but unlikely I think. Plus it seems other places (CoS, for one) are aware of the lineup so one might be able to find it online sooner than later perhaps

That's what I've been assuming would happen. I'm heading out to see a movie with the girlfriend and REALLY hoping I'll make it home in time for the announcement... but to be fully honest, I think I'd go a little crazy getting one.. name... at... a... time. Hated that about Bonnaroo. I just want to see that beautiful lineup poster all at once so I can have a heart attack and stutter out sounds of joy.
