Hey, I was just wondering what items I can and cannot bring into the festival grounds? I'll just make a list to make it easier.
-Food: Sandwiches, fruit, etc -A refillable water container -Blanket -Lawn Chair -Cameras (Do they mind you taking pictures and filming?) -Medication: Like Aspirin and Pepto. Just in case I start feeling like shit mid day I don't want to leave and not be able to get back in.
Also, a camping question. I have a really big tent. Do they allow big tents?
Thanks!

Food - yes, had no troubles in the past, they like it in in clear plastic bags though. Water bottle - yes, but they make you empty it out on the way in and there are places to fill it up inside. Blanket - yes, though they have made me shake it out in the past to make sure nothing is inside. Lawn Chair - I believe this one is a no, not allowed in. Camera - here is where it gets tricky, they say non-professional (defined by removable lenses) cameras are allowed but I was turned away last year with my camera that isn't a professional camera but looks kind of similar. I argued with the security person but they would have none of it and I had to take it back to my car. Medication - Not sure on that but I can't see it being a problem. And either way that super easy to hide. I'm pretty sure I brought Advil in last year. As for the big tent, unless its absolutely massive I can't see it being a problem. I had an 8 person tent up last year with no issues whatsoever. Hope that helps, also a lot of this stuff and more is up on the festival website: www.sasquatchfestival.com/#/gorge

Do they allow big tents? Thanks! I saw a group of 14 asian high school hipsters put up a geodesic dome with an side room offshoot. It took them forever but it was huge. I couldn't imagine a tent any bigger than that. It was a sight to see. We used it as a landmark to find our way home.

I didn't want to go through a 9 page thread to find the answer to none or all of my questions. I did however do a search for what I was asking but I got some strange results. It would be nice if there was some sort of a FAQ or something along those lines. This forum isn't busy so I figured I would just make another thread. Edit: Forgot to mention: Thanks for the reply jobosrock.

Your welcome. And I was bored at school so decided to answer instead of directing you somewhere else so it was no problem.

I didn't want to go through a 9 page thread to find the answer to none or all of my questions. You don't have 20 minutes to read through a thread chalked full of information that would keep newbies from starting new threads? That hurts. You are allowed to post all your questions about what is allowed and what isn't in the First Timers thread. That way, first timers can read one thread, rather than having to read through several different threads looking for information on what is allowed, and what isn't. In fact, I would suggest the moderators delete this post, delete this thread, and put someguys question and jobosrock's reply in the First Timers thread.

Lawn chairs are not allowed, blankets are, i have seen people turned away at the gate with tarps. When you go thrus the bag check focus on getting in the line with a younger teenage boy or girl, they don't check the bags well enough. Advil wont be a problem to bring in.
