Somewhere quiet to decompress - they have had a chill-out tent at a few festivals I've been to, but I've never seen one at Sasquatch - there were times during the weekend that I would have welcomed one...

Don't EVER go to Coachella. There is literally nowhere to go where you can get away from constant pulsating bass.

That year was like 90+ every damn day and shade was nowhere to be found except for the comedy tent (back when it had a normal name), but it was insanely packed all day long because everyone was trying to cool themselves off and to just get out of the blistering sun for a while. I was surprised we didn't see any more hyperthermia incidents that year like Bonnaroo this year....fuck it looked hot and humid there!

2009 was fucking brutal. I spent most of the afternoon in the comedy tent almost every day for just that reason. They had a wicked good comedy lineup that year, too (and they haven't really since).

Switch posted an article on FB about a girl that was found dead in her tent this year at Bonnaroo. Anyone hear about this or know any updates?
And yea, it was funny watching people follow the shadow that the dance/comedy tent cast on the grass in 2009. I was definitely clinging to the outer edges a few times that weekend.

They had a wicked good comedy lineup that year, too (and they haven't really since). This and this. It seems like they have been sacrificing comedy acts in favor of EDM now. In a way I guess I'm not complaining, but I am still a huge stand-up comedy fan so it is a little disappointing for sure. Doug Benson was actually booked for last year, but he had to cancel the last minute because of scheduling conflicts. Man, I was pissed about that.

I guess I'm the only person that despises comedians at music festivals...

Switch posted an article on FB about a girl that was found dead in her tent this year at Bonnaroo. Anyone hear about this or know any updates? Apparently it was a 32 year old woman and nobody knew a damn thing. They say they are awaiting toxicology reports to determine the cause. My guess is something along the lines of hyperthermia, but who knows. There was also a 24 year old guy who was found dead as well and they determined it was for sure hyperthermia that caused it. When will the youth learn that if you take drugs.....FUCKING DRINK WATER! Especially with temperatures like that.

it's sad, it seems like somebody dies every year at Bonnaroo.

I was PISSED when Doug Benson disappeared from the lineup last year. Not many people can make me laugh like that dude. We go see him every chance we get.

I love having comedians on during the day! I don't go out to a lot of comedy shows and I'm always surprised at how much fun I have at them. Although I didn't enjoy anyone that I went to see this year. It was so nice to go sit in the shade and eat chicken strips and listen to Bobcat Goldthwaite last year though!

I'm heading to Bumbershoot this year and they just added Doug Benson and Mad Rad to the lineup this week! So fucking excited that they added DB since Sasquatch was a bust.
HG you should make your way up to Seattle for Bumbershoot. It's shaping up to be one hell of a year.

Hit me with the lineup so far? The "we're gonna announce one act a day" thing was so fucking annoying I stopped paying attention.

Hmm, yeah, all that's really speaking to me is PotUSA and NoMeansNo. And the Butthole Surfers, but they're going to be in Portland for MFNW. Actually dude that Bumbershoot lineup is pretty tragic. And have they not announced headliners yet or is Hall & Oates really going to be at the top of the bill?
