We are not identifying Hello Clairo?Actually, I'm going to guess Remi Wolf. (As much fun as Lionel Richie would be...) Or Erykah Badu? The possibilities are literally endless here.

Songs people in the comments are seeing that I'm not: Mirages California Crush Tim Hecker- "Mirages" "California" could be many options, but I'm going with Chappell Roan And "Crush" could be... Ethel Cain? EDIT: Actually, I feel pretty confident about Ethel Cain. She's playing Portland 8/13.

I know she played Sasquatch twice, but I really doubt it.

Good work y'all!!! Adding that I think "Pink Sky" is Infinity Song.
Was so stoked for a second about QOTSA but yeah....kind of impossible. Could be Laufey, but she played last year.

I thought Khruangbin was playing when I thought the festival would be the following weekend. Now that it's 8/9-11, there's no geographic reason to think they'll be there, but they're available before picking up their tour in Berkeley on the 14th. I don't know why else they don't have a Seattle date. I suppose they're potentially available for Bumbershoot (is it returning?) because they're off between Red Rocks on 8/28 and New York on 9/20.
EDIT: Worth noting that Hermanos Gutiérrez are opening for Khruangbin this spring. They're in Portugal the following weekend, though. I don't really know which way to lean with "Thunderbird." TMBG don't have dates after 6/23, so they're definitely also in play. Or it could be a completely different band! Who knows.

Depends on if we're convinced about Death Cab or not, but "New York" could also be Cat Power (who has a show in Seattle next week, which fits into Thing's pattern of having artists who play in market around album release - would be true for Arlo Parks this year too). I thought about The Kills, but they're in Europe. I just don't know if I'm sold on Death Cab because they're don't have upcoming shows that aren't co-headlines with the Postal Service, and I haven't seen any indication for the Postal Service at Thing.

That's a cover, and a band that has been broken up since 2008. I don't think that's right, although I do not have the right answer.

I had the same thought. There's no way, right? I mean they've played Sasquatch. Why not? On second thought, they're in Germany 8/9 and France 8/15. Possible, but I wouldn't expect them. I don't know who else it could be besides New Found Glory, though, and I would not expect them.

If I'm not mistaken, St Vincent has songs called "New York" and "Northern Lights." More matches = more confirmed? From another comment, I'm leaning Hermanos over TMBG. Hermanos has been getting a lot of KEXP play and that pretty much is the go to Thing Kingmaker.

Whitney's only other two dates are opening for The Revivalists + Spoon at Red Rocks the following Wednesday and Thursday. Those two shows are Spoon's only dates, so maybe there are more to come. The Revivalists are in Chicago 8/9.

Still don't know about this one. The artist Greg Spero has a song from 2022 with this name. I really don't have a good lead here. I feel like I'm missing something obvious.

Bikini Kill playing Forest Grove (their Portland market date) 8/21 with no Seattle shows. If we’re thinking Thing would be the previous weekend, though, they’re in LA and San Francisco 8/15-19. But, after 8/21 in Forest Grove, no shows until 8/27 in Denver. Along with Khruangbin, nothing has changed to explain Bikini Kill not having a Seattle date. I think they're still possible?
