Earthgang is another Hip-Hop artist that is touring (with Smino) that skips Seattle and Vancouver despite not hitting either on their last tour. I bet they're at the Gorge that weekend.

Sorry I went all Reddit with my posts last night by listing a bunch of artists as possible simply because they’re alive. I was a little drunk and a lot excited for some speculation with y’all!

In the past, I turned on push notifications from Sasquatch to get news as soon as they shared it on Twitter on Instagram because I’m a loser. I didn’t receive that email from Live Nation yesterday. I don’t know why because I get other emails from them, including for shows at the Gorge. I’m not going to turn on push notifications for @livenation on Twitter because they post a lot about everything, and I don’t want all of that information. There are three different Twitter accounts that seem related to concerts at the Gorge: @thegorge, @gorgeamphitheat, and @gorgeconcerts. None of them are verified, nor updated recently. Does anybody have any ideas for how to get announcements about the shows over Memorials Day weekend at the Gorge as soon as they’re announced?
Edit: I think @livenationpnw is probably the best source for this news.

I can't stop thinking about this announcement. It has me so excited, but also it makes like zero sense in my mind.

I can't stop thinking about this announcement. It has me so excited, but also it makes like zero sense in my mind. Same here. I’m having a hard time sorting out how I feel about this. I supposed “cautiously optimistic with a emphasis on cautious” would be the closest way I could express it. I’m trying not to get too obsessive about what it could be yet, but between this and the Port Townsquatch rumors, there is a faint glimmer of light in the void Sasquatch left in me. There is no fucking way I’m getting my hopes too high for anything, but there is something genuinely magical about Memorial Day weekend at the Gorge. It would take a pretty giant Live Nation turd to overpower that magic.

If I can buy just a camping pass without a show ticket, I would have half a mind to go just for that. Just get together a crew of Sasquatch vets and set up a Notsquatch protest camp in D9.

Vampire Weekend have a new album coming out this spring and haven’t been to Sasquatch since 2013 so obviously they’re a lock for this festival that I refuse to acknowledge.

Vampire Weekend - King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard - St. Vincent The Raconteurs - Soulwax - Ween - Tenacious D - Anklepants FKA Todd Terje - The War on Drugs Swap Ween and Gizzard and throw in more ladies. Braids and Blue Hawaii are both indicating that they're in the studio this year, Chelsea Wolfe, Sleater-Kinney, Ex Hex, hell, let's bring Japanese Breakfast back again. Mitski would sell tickets for sure. Someone kidnap Björk from NYC and get her out to the Gorge.

Soulwax would be fucking sick. I'll bet somebody a cool $10 that Cage the Elephant is a headliner. I hope we get IDLES too

After a couple of days of pouring cold water on my head, I still think that "The Gorge's LONG tradition of Memorial Weekend concerts in 2019 and beyond... May 24-25-26, 2019 will see a new generation of contemporary artists carry on the tradition of this iconic Northwest intuition" means that it will not be a traditional festival (at least for now) where a lineup is booked as a whole, but rather three shows over three nights that they think they could ticket separately. I think the shows already on the Gorge Amphitheater's calendar for this year (Brandi Carlile, Emmylou Harris, & Neko Case and the Avett Brothers, Lake Street Drive, & Trampled by Turtles) are a good blueprint, but I agree with Pea that it will skew toward hippity hoppity.
