So this will be my 8th Sasquatch. 6 previous times I did D9 and the last time I went I did premier (and would never do D9 again). What's the pros and cons of Wild Horse vs Premier (besides the food)? I was in D9 all the time then in 2015 I went to Wild Horse. It was so much better. The grass is actually maintained. I didn't end up with an allergy attack like I did every single year in D9. The shuttle was super easy. No cattle walk. They have a little "restaurant" for breakfast/lunch/dinner. They sell ice. They have charger stations. They clean their toilets daily and have showers. The people that run the place are super nice and pleasant to chat with. People do still party during the day but it is pretty chill at night so that would be the only negative if you want to go hard all night. I am usually in the venue from noon till the end so I am ready to pass the fuck out after a couple of beers when we get back to camp. So the more chill is alright with me. In 2014 I went hard in our campsite but that was because we literally had a couch. I didn't join a party train or go wandering except to say hi to the cows. That was my first sign that my D9 days were coming to an end. edit: and of course now that I'm looking at pictures, I miss the pilgrimage

That was 2013 that you had a couch. Unless you brought one both years.

I did premier once and it was great, but Wildhorse is the same price and much nicer. The shuttle ride is a bit longer and the party isn't as hard, but shade, grass, and Wild Burgers go a long away. I did Gold last year and got really spoiled. Being able to walk from a show to camp and back in 20 minutes or less was a game changer. Doing Gold again this year definitely puts me over budget, but I am currently in the process of convincing myself I can pull it off. I nearly convinced my group of friends that I meet from Portland and my group from Montana to all try Gold last year, but we then absorbed another group of 19s and that wasn't happening. I think Gold sounds neat but I've managed to go home and crash after every show back in Premier and I've gotten to walk to D9 to visit the new people I meet since they're your neighbors. That said give me a couple years and I'll probably Wildhorse too.

My group has been all about premier ever since we got stuck at the very back of overflow in D9 one year. A couple people are pushing hard for Wildhorse this year but I'm not sure if I'm ready to retire yet.

Being able to run back to camp and back into the festival in about 10 minutes was great, This. We did Gold two years ago and haven't looked back. The lack of lines the last few years made it even easier actually as we could run out, re-up on food, drinks, favors etc and jet back in. Then do it again before the sun started to go down and get the longer sleeves and and pants on. We usually end up wandering into District 9 at some point, just to switch things up, but we were able to part just the same in Gold. We have a RV but there were plenty of tent campers as neighbors and throughout Gold so its not just RVs. We usually are able to split the price amongst our group so it makes it more affordable. EDIT: spelling and additions

Premier is mad underrated. Much nicer view, more space to hang out, and people still party. Also in the past two years there's so much empty space you can play frisbee or fly kites.
Otherwise, it's perfectly positioned to sneak into Terrace to take a civilized shower or start a party train over to D9. Premier is awesome.

I’m sure it’s been discussed/advised to death in past years (I seem to recall), but what’s the approach to merging people arriving in separate vehicles?
Me and the ole lady have another couple joining this year but they’re just coming for the squatch. We usually make a week or two of it at least doing Portland and camping about.
Other couple has bigger vehicle and looking to do gold or premier so I guess my question is, where to drop my little Mazda for the 3 day fest so only one gold/premier pass is needed?

In previous years farmers would rent out parking for cheap but I haven’t seen that recently so my group just kinda plans around it This year I parked my car overnight (Friday) in the gas station and my car wasn’t ticketed. Leaving it there the whole weekend is much riskier, though... wish I could be of more help!

I've heard there are a few places in Vantage that will let you leave a vehicle there for the weekend (probably for a small fee), but I've never actually done it.

oh also - for those with premiere experience... is it capable of selling out? I know GA doesn't sell out but I've never paid attention to how premiere goes on stacked lineup years.

It has in past years. With the lineup skewing towards old, crotchety people like myself this year, I imagine it will this year as well. It really is worth it-- the shuttle is a game-changer and I've never had to wait long.

Our group of old fogies is upgrading this year to gold, but premier is far and away a better experience than D9.

I really wanted to do a Gold again this year, but my bank account is trying to convince me that premier would be just as good. The shuttle saves the walk and I can always store some supplies at the boardie base camp in Gold. I know Wildhorse is the same price as Premier and it is objectively nicer, but I like the thought of being next to D9 to be able to walk over and visit the people there too.
