Greta Van Fleet's tour dates make them seem at least possible. Playing a ton of festivals and circling the country after Coachella, ending with three nights in Detroit May 23-25. I could see them possibly playing Sunday night at Sasquatch. The three nights in one city feels like the end of a tour, but they make sense for Sasquatch and might add it to the end of the tour. Starting at Coachella and ending at Sasquatch has a nice symmetry to it.

I've been seeing their name thrown around a lot lately, and finally checked our one of their videos minutes ago. I'll agree with most other people they sound like a blatant Zeppelin rip off. Don't get the hype.

Don't get the hype. My ex wife's boyfriend flagged me down outside their house once just to recommend I check them out. "I heard you like music, man. You should check it Greta Van Fleet. They sound just like Led Zeppelin." He's a dingus and definitely not someone I look to for musical recommendations, so I've kind of made a point not to listen to them. But I have been seeing a lot of their name and they do seem like someone Sasquatch would book.

Haven't been booked for any shows Sasquatch weekend... seems like there's a good chance

Robert Plant actually gave them his seal of approval. Pretty cool thing to get from the guy you're ripping off haha. They're a really young band though and clearly have a lot of talent, so I would imagine with a little growing and maturing they can definitely come into their own a find their own sound.

Or, they sell out and take the generic made for radio hard rock route and lose their soul just to become the next Buckcherry or Nickelback.

The guy who recommended them to me is exactly the kind of guy who would listen to Buckcherry or Nickleback, so I didn't get the best first impression there. But, I've heard their name from reputable sources since then, so I'm sure I'll end up giving them at least a listen at some point. Hell, I listened to Post Malone once and they can't be any worse than that.

The first time I heard Tame Impala,I just thought they were ripping off the late stage Beatles and I've come to love them on their own merits since. So sounding kinda like someone great isn't always a bad thing, I guess.

I've heard more than one person refer to the origins of Tame Impala as a comparison. It took them a little time to find their sound after wearing their influences on their shleeves, but I'd say they eventually did.

Speaking of rumors, someone on Reddit is saying they heard there will be a lineup party February 4th. I know they've waiting until a couple of weeks out to announce it in the past, but this seems a little too late to have nothing official posted.
