What if this was the lineup? Would it change everything for most people? Was billing Twenty One Pilots in the first spot the biggest killer for this lineup? Would a strong headliner like LCD have saved the rest of it for you?

Yeah, probably. Aside from LCD I'd still be leaning hard into a (relatively) weak undercard, but James Murphy & co. at the Gorge would be worth the expense and even having a few gaps in my day-to-day schedule.
But man if this were real, it would be LCD and Bonobo and then a skip down to line 4. Woof.

Honestly, if there was one strong headliner (for my tastes) then there is actually enough in the undercard as-is for me to be ok with this lineup. It really does show me how awful of a decision it was to book 21 Pilots as the FIRST ARTIST ON THE POSTER.

Change LCD to Radiohead or Arcade Fire and that is a great lineup. Sure, the overall number of artists is low and only average quality, but I know where my money went. Hell, I was just trying to pay $100 a ticket just to see Radiohead, so $300 to see them plus 50 other bands is a good deal. The same could be said for either of the other two bands I said, but 21 Høt Tøpic Ads? Never. The first band you see should be the one that pulls you in, that's where most of your money is going. I don't know a single person over the age of 18 that would pay to see those human Tumblr pages. Opening the video with them was a kick in the nuts and the single biggest mistake in Sasquatch history.
As it sits right now, there is not a single act on that poster that I would pay more than $25 to see at a solo show. In fact, I don't think there is anyone on there that I would make the drive to Seattle to see at a solo show. That's two things I could never say about a Sasquatch lineup before this one, and that is a big problem.

I still would have felt a little cheated by the undercard, that second line is pretty shitty too but it really does look so much better without 21 pilots first and I'm not even a huge LCD fan. It's funny, when everyone was speculating about why they pulled Frank's name off of everything and one of the leading theories was that the highest billed artist got upset about it, I thought to myself, "who would be so douchey that they would actually throw a hissy fit over something like that?" ...........oh.

Hahaha. If we live in a world where 21 Pilots can pull a card like that over Frank Ocean, then we all deserve this lineup.

Change LCD to Radiohead or Arcade Fire and that is a great lineup. Obviously a Radiohead top spot would be preferable to just about anything else, but I figured LCD would be more of an affordable "splash out" artist for the size of Sasquatch. I mean really, how many tens of thousands of dollars more would they have cost? According to Geno, 21 Pilots is selling out arenas these days. Would LCD sell out the Key Arena in Seattle by themselves?

Would LCD sell out the Key Arena in Seattle by themselves? I agree, LCD is certainly more realistic and probably pretty similar price-wise. I was just mentioning the other two because they would have been absolute locks to fix everything. LCD the top would have been a huge improvement, but I'm not sure it would have been enough on its own. Buuuut, with the savings from LCD compared to RH or AF, they could afford to throw a Danny Brown and a Marshmello in there to really lock it down.

Spoiler alert: The only reason Marshmello isn't at Sasquatch is because Paradiso probably already booked him haha.

21 piss ants sold out a venue here that's roughly 7,200 in Montana where our state population is under 1.5 million so... What I'm trying to say is these My Chemical Romance knockoffs are hot right now and I think they would be fine as the shitty Friday header, but Saturday had got to be Frank with chance as his sub and Sunday had to be LCD/arcade fire. They also need to add like two more artists to each day too but they can be the same shitty tier 2.5 million plays on their top song on Spotify artists too, just make them interesting. As it stands after Kiiara, who they play at my gym, the actual cost per artist as far as I am concerned plummets.
