Plan A: Sell ticket and go to Upstream. Plan B: Go to Sasquatch anyways, albeit with lots less friends. I would still look forward to Chance, Frank, MGMT, Kaytranada, Vulfpeck, Thee Oh Sees, Mount Kimbie, and Big Freedia.

I'm probably still going because it's Sasquatch so it'll still be fun. Looking forward to seeing chancey chance, Frank, Phantogram, Mac Miller, Bonobo, Kaytranada, Big Gigantic, Aesop Rock, Vulfpeck, Car Seat Headrest, Manatee Commune, and July Talk! Especially Kaytranada and Vulfpeck.
There were 30+ acts I wanted to see immediately when the lineup dropped last year and close to 50 by the time of the festival. Hope I can find some more gems in the undercard.

I am trying very hard to remain positive about this. I will say one thing about 21 Pilots, though. If you take them off and add literally anyone else in their place, it changes the feel of this lineup dramatically. It's still not great, but it has some good. Chance, Frank, Big Gigantic, Car Seat Headrest, Thee Oh Sees, Kaytranada, Bob Moses, Aesop Rock, Big Freedia, Jagwar Ma will all be good times. I'm sure there are a few gems in the ones I've never heard too.

I'm really excited for Foxygen. I was listening to their new record most of this past weekend. I'm curious how it will translate to a live setting, since it has an orchestra.

Hell, even Macklemore would be better. Literally anyone. Just seeing them as the first name on the video killed the mood for me and cast a negative light on everything that followed.

Maybe those of us who decide to stick it out can just try not to think about the money we have spent, and just have a camping party together in district 9 for the whole weekend, and maybe go in to see Frank and American Football.

I am being optimistic for about 30 more good undercard names to be added to the lineup...
Bands I am excited to see on the list now:
Vulfpeck Jagwar Ma Chancey Chance Chance Frank Ocean Bonobo American Football Rufus Du Sol Kaytranda Foxygen Car Seat Headrest The Shins MGMT The Hotelier Fred Moses Sumney Foxygen
Bands that I hope get added to make this lineup make me forget about the band that shall not be mentioned:
Pinegrove Modern Baseball A Tribe Called Quest Death Grips Band of Horses Spoon Flaming Lips Foals Built to Spill and much more....

There is usually at least one headliner that I miss all or most of, so we can call 21P a scratch. So if they add some more solid undercard acts, and if the schedule comes out and it looks like there will be good acts throughout the day, and if there are cheap resale tickets that I can convince my friends to buy, then I guess I could make this work.

Now that the initial shock has subsided, I've decided that unless they cancel, I'm still going. I made a solemn vow that I was going to go every year regardless of the lineup. Twenty One Poop Emojis doesn't have the power to make me break that vow. So far this year, I already see about 8 or 9 artists that I am excited about. That really isn't that much less than the 10-15 that usually stand out to me from past lineup announcements. When you account for the fact that this lineup has about half as many acts has previous lineups have, it's actually on par as a percentage. So, as of right now, I am officially done bitching about the lineup and focusing on my usual routine of digging into the rest of it and researching all of the artists I haven't listened to. I believe in Sasquatch. I believe in Magic. I believe in Sasquatch Magic. Sasquatch finds a way.

I'm at 22 artists I'm excited (would be fine with I mean) to see, but if there is any conflicts that really fucks that number. That said as it stands I will be there, I will meet any and all of you, and I am 100% going to cry at Frank Ocean's set out of happiness. The rest of the weekend I'm looking to shake rump and close out my fifth, and most likely final, year at Sasquatch in style. Celebrate the life it had and not mourn the death.

I am enjoying July Talk a lot so far... It is like a bizarre lovechild of Mark Lanegan and Metric but it somehow works and sounds good.
