X ambassadors? I think they're pretty popular and mainstream and they are more in the middle... no?

Discussion of scheduling, not the schedule itself, but if there is some formula to scheduling or if they want to stack genres. After about how they tinker every year to try and optimize crowd control(from what I gathered) and where everyone plays. He's discussing how 2010 was his favorite year and how 2013 was a great year and how their artists were commercially peaking so it was incredibly successful and a complete hit. Some discussion on how mainstream vs alt clashing in lineups and how Zacks doesn't really book too alternative but tries to say true to the PNW, taking about the most difficult year being the year with a big hailstorm and how it was just wrecking people but it was incredibly memorable, idle chatter about the weather and how there will be a little bit of al weather. No particular new features this year but rather "programming the music in a way to give everyone the best experience". Aaaaand that all she wrote on the podcast.

I found it curious that a band requested a lower billing this year, really humble move honestly. Can't wait to hear the schedule talk! Are we going to all try and guess who it was? Maybe it won't be as obvious as it sounded on the podcast The most logical answer seems to be a band that was supposed to be a headliner, but didn't think they had enough quality live material so they went down to have a shorter, but ultimately better set. Or is that just super stupid?

Or is that just super stupid? Probably a band that prefers to keep a lower profile. I am actually surprised that Yo La Tengo wasn't higher up on the lineup, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was them.

My guess would be Big Grams. I always thought they should be booked a little higher because of Big Boi. Hell, he headlined the whole damn thing 2 years ago (well, not just him, but still). When I first thought of them earlier, I thought they might have wanted the lower billing to get more cred as their own group rather than riding Outkast fame, but the comment about an act not having enough material to fill a 75-90 minute set fits them too. They do only have the one album and it's only 7 songs.

As far as material, they don't have much, but I always wondered if they play Big Grams versions of each others solo material. I heard they play Ms. Jackson.

Maybe it won't be as obvious as it sounded on the podcast I'd guess it was Digable Planets. I could see Snacks placing them higher, especially since they are reuniting after a long time off AND they are kicking off their reunion tour at Sasquatch. I figure the band's train of thought might be that they were a great group back in the day (still are!) but maybe they are/were questioning their relevancy now. Especially when surrounded by a 100 other bands, many in their prime.

So like, is this your podcast or something? I was wondering too. I am getting a spammy vibe here. I actually went and checked if this was the only thread they posted in.

Naw, I'm not John. I'm a huge podcast lover and a first time Sasquatch attendee this year so I have been soaking up as much knowledge about the festival as I can. I googled if they had a podcast a few weeks ago and found a link about a potential Sasquatch podcast. I figured since I haven't seen anyone post about it that I might as well share it on the message board that I figured would have shared it with me lol

I'm going to be perfectly honest dude. We know the podcast exists at this point. I've already had to move around a few of your podcast posts that were either duplicates or posted in inappropriate threads, and it's getting to the point where you're coming in here only to talk at us about it, rather than joining in conversation about other Sasquatch-related topics as well. Not trying to be a dick, but like Cysquatch said, it's getting a bit spammy.

I felt like I came in breaking news about the podcast but obviously that wasn't the case. I'm a bit of a noob with this message board and message boards in general. I'm curious to see if they will be interviewing people on site for the podcast. The information around this podcast is incredibly vague so I figured by sharing it that someone may know some more information? Anyways, party on.

The podcast seems unnecessary, like I've gotten some really interesting Snapple cap facts on the fest out of it. You would think that they would drive it with announcements (such is the way Beats Radio 1 drives views), but as is I've listed to one entire podcast and that will be all I tune in for. Also it's John Norris' first Sasquatch too and you're not fooling anyone, John.

No particular new features this year but rather "programming the music in a way to give everyone the best experience". Aaaaand that all she wrote on the podcast. What does this even mean? Seems to me a glamorized word play on crowd control and genre dispersion. His name is Adam Snacks but all he's been giving us is BREADCRUMBS!

What I got out of that was that he was really working hard on the scheduling.
