I would highly recommend a recreation shop near a big city. You will find better, fresher buds say in Seattle than out near the gorge. Might I mention much better prices/bang for your buck. That's not necessarily true. Eastern Washington grows A LOT of really good weed. I agree with ya, it really doesn't matter. Though West leans towards hydroponics or indoors with soil, and East is a lot of outdoors I've heard as well as indoors with soil. Eventually once the Feds lay off it'd be sweet to have a pop up cafe in the campgrounds at least. There you could sample the differences.

I was told this by a five-time squatcher and it was absolutely true when I went. Day one was barely a peek at your bag, and by Monday they were pulling out almost everything. Why do they seem to ramp it up through the weekend?

Hey guys,
(Pea please let me know if this is not the appropriate thread, I will delete and post correctly if need be. ) As you all may or may not know i'll be flying in from out of state for my first sasquatch. I will be flying in with my girlfriend and, as originally planned, were going to meet up with her really good friend who lives in WA state... We paid for her ticket since she promised to pay back. Well said friend has not really responded lately (last 2-3 months)to any emails, texts or calls to talk about logistics and all that. You all know a camping festival is something you really don't want to wing. Well, let's just say that we think/know she isn't going, and she was our ride and part of our supplies provider ( I have everything for a camping festival but I can't bring it with me on the plane, so she was going to provide anything else I couldn't bring (think: canopy, table, lawn chairs))
I guess my question is if anybody from Seattle or Portland or PNW, would be able to maybe bring an extra lawn chair/table/or canopy, I could borrow? I would greatly appreciated it. My plan now is to pay for those same supplies that I have home but really in the end I'll have to throw the supplies away. Anything would help and I would pay back with some funny jokes and a cold beer. I promise to bring the item back in the same condition it was given.
Also are there any shuttles from Seattle?

Why do they seem to ramp it up through the weekend? Professor Pancakes nailed it. As I stated, these guys really don't get paid enough to put up with the antics of roughly 20,000 festival goers. I've heard some people say that a good attitude goes a long way with security, and I think it's true as last year I snuck half a fake sunscreen bottle of alcohol in after the guy that checked my bag made me "dump" it. Unfortunately they had another guy patrolling after the bag check and he saw, so the remaining alcohol got tossed out by him.

I'm sure someone around here can spare some extra chairs and a table. I'd volunteer myself to bring you some but have not even gotten a ticket yet let alone work out logistics of how I'm getting there. I'm sure I can throw you a chair or two. You could even just show up at our super secret group meeting spot on Thursday and camp with us as you seem like you'd fit in just fine. Do you have flights yet? What time do they arrive? As far as I know you can greyhound from Seattle to George, WA, which is basically where the festival is. I've heard from past users that the bus driver just asked who was going to Sasquatch, and it was basically just everyone, so he dropped them at the festival gates. Failing that hitching a ride to the fest from there since everyone there will be picking up last minute supplies. I would probably advise renting a car though as that seems easier. I'll try to give better advice when I'm not half asleep...

One year a security guard found beer in our pack and said "These should be further down" and shoved them under a blanket and let us in. Another time my friend literally took beer out of the confiscated bin and put it into his pocket. Sometimes they care, sometimes they don't. Do your best to hide stuff but worst case they will just take it unless you are totally beligifamous then you might be in trouble.

We get to Seattle on Wednesday at like 8:30 pm and stay in a hotel in downtown for the night, we head back on Tuesday (early morning). I think if it doesn't work out I will have to rent out a car and might hit you up on that super secret camping spot. (Artist depiction of super secret group meeting spot) I will keep you posted but I do appreciate the tips/hints and invitation.

(Artist depiction of super secret group meeting spot) I will keep you posted but I do appreciate the tips/hints and invitation. Getting a ride there from someone should be pretty easy as tons of people will be going then, getting the ride back may be a different story. There are loads of people that leave early Tuesday but finding someone reliable could be tough. A lot of people over estimate their ability to get up at 6am on Tuesday. I know I don't leave until well after most people have since I like to get a somewhat decent sleep before the long drive back and I have the whole day off anyway. Shoot me a PM if your ride falls through and maybe I can help. A quick search comes up with a car for about $260 from the airport for the duration you need, which would also provide you with the ability to get to a cheaper hotel Wednesday night and save some money that way. Alternatively there's a monorail that goes to Seattle from the airport and you could see if there are cheaper rentals along there.
