Caribou's last two albums have propelled them into a height of popularity that absolutely warrants that time slot, in my opinion at least. I think a lot of people would compare it to Hot Chip's set that closed the Bigfoot last year.

yeah, can anyone explain to me why Jamie xx is considered big? I saw him live and he didn't play any of his songs and it was just plain boring.

He has established Sasquatch clout with The XX (I believe they sub-headlined last time they played) and his solo album was very well received, so I think he warrants a pretty high billing. I see him closing the dance tent with Caribou and Grimes on the Bigfoot. And me having to come to grips with the possibility of missing Florence completely because the thought of those two closing the Bigfoot is pretty fucking irresistible.

I saw caribou teach 20,000 people how music was made at primavera at 3am last year. Zero fucking chance that guy doesn't play the main after 6pm or one of the other stages at night. You can't compare 2010 (?) caribou to 2016 caribou.
Mumford went from afternoon Bigfoot to headlining the whole festival in like 2 years.

Caribou are headlining Psych Fest this year along with Animal Collective, Ween and Brian Wilson.
I would say they are closing a stage for damn sure, except I still think Grimes is going to get the late-night set. It doesn't make sense to have her play the same time slot as 3 years ago when she had one of the biggest crowds of the entire weekend, and it also doesn't make sense for her to play on any other stage when you look at the entire lineup for this day. This day is pretty difficult to predict because it is just so fucking stacked. The one and only reason I can think of that Grimes would not play a late-night set is that her headlining show last year was only 59 minutes long.

Caribou seems like the most perfect set to close the Bigfoot. It will/would be glorious. The moment when the balloons fall at 59:00 is the second most beautiful concert memory that I've never had.

Yeah I would like to see Caribou on Bigfoot over Jamie XX anyday but I would be surprised like others if Grimes played that same ol' slot. Any chance she gets the closing late-night set? I imagine the crowd will be even larger this year for her. Could even be Sufjan->Florence->Grimes on main stage??? This would be mega overlap city though. I feel like they do this every year on the last day so to not overpack one stage at the end because if that's how the mainstage looks it's probably 50/50 divide between the main and the 3 other stages the last 4 hours of the night. Sufjan Sunset would be the tits.
It's funny this day is the one where people are most likely gonna be walk/running all through the gorge and it's the last day. I always have rubber legs by the start of the last day haha.

There is absolutely no possible way that Florence and the Machine play the mainstage and NOT headline it.

Caribou closing out the entire festival is exactly how it should be. That band...holy shit they are incredible. No doubt their show will rule the only question is what will the band be made up of? Every time I have seen them Dan has had a different number of performers on stage with him. He is a mad scientist. Genius. The best.

Thao's playing too late. Have to move her to an earlier time. Also, I still have no idea who would close the Bigfoot this day. Grimes, Caribou, and Jamie XX all seem possible. But out of the three of them, Caribou seems more fit for the Main.
