Does Pemberton end up releasing single day tickets at some point?

Does Pemberton end up releasing single day tickets at some point? They did last year when sales were really low.

I'm going to go to this. I'm a big fan of a lot of the hip hop they have, the comedy looks really good, all my friends are going, and I might not even be able to make it to Sasquatch anymore so yeah.

That's not nearly as good as last year overall, but that comedy lineup is top notch once again.

Do you think as an April Fools they left off the top line for now? I could see two names fitting above. Kendrick is a legit headliner based on other festivals this year, but the rest ... i dunno.

The Black Keys are certainly a headliner. They have headlined most of the biggest festivals in the world.
It really looks like they did lose Phish as a headliner because they have String Cheese Incident playing two sets, which is something Phish probably would have done.

Yep, and losing Phish would explain why the lineup jumps from Black Keys to J. Cole. Big drop in popularity

I still can't believe Kanye isn't on there. He's in the country the week before, he cancelled Vancouver shows twice. I can't understand how they dropped the ball there.

Yeah I guess upon further review Black Keys are headlining some big stuff. Just saw yesterday and had fresh in mind that they were headlining Rock the Shores ... and that's a pretty small one.
I guess I was just hoping for something April Fools related. You'd think with all the shenanigans around this festival (hints, lateness, cheeky tweets) they wouldn't ignore the fact that they released on April fools. Fake lineups and such probably can't be done ... but saying a few hours later "oops we forgot _ _ _ _ _ " would probably be some good press.

Those petitions are just so ridiculous to me. I heard the Glastonbury one was started by someone who isn't even going to the festival. And if he was, well, it's Glastonbury, there's literally a hundred other things going on for you to do instead of seeing a headliner you don't like! There's no need to shit on something that other people may like when you can just move on and watch something else. I mean, I spent an hour playing electronic drums with people dressed up as demons in the Hell labyrinth of Shangri-La instead of watching Mumford and Sons when I went to Glasto. That's what's supposed to be one of the drawing points of festivals- there's something for everyone's tastes and you're not forced to watch a headliner you don't like. (Unless it's Pemberton and the headliners are unopposed.)

Can't say I'm not a little disappointed in the lineup. It feels a bit safer, a bit more mainstream than last year's iteration. Still pretty eclectic. Strong hip-hop element, though of those names I'm only really into several. And a lot of the ones that would get me excited, I'm seeing at Sasquatch anyway. Also wish there was a bit more heavier/punkier groups.
I'll probably still end up going, though.

Yeah I guess upon further review Black Keys are headlining some big stuff. The Black Keys are headlining Governor's Ball over Björk. I was considering buying tickets until they chapped my ass with this blasphemous news.

Those petitions are just so ridiculous to me. I heard the Glastonbury one was started by someone who isn't even going to the festival. I signed the petition for Glastonbury to cancel all performances other than Kanye West. I'm obviously not attending the festival.

Pemberton is SO fucking fun, and I'm SO fucking excited for this year. I think I'm finally at the age where I'm starting to appreciate the funkier, jammier side of music, so having the opportunity to see STS9, Galactic, and The String Cheese Incident all in one crazy booze/chip-fueled weekend with my favorite friends sounds like a damn fine party. Plus, there are about 20 inflatable pool toy-worthy artists playing. You better believe I'm going to launch a dozen blow-up palm trees into the air when Weezer plays Island in the Sun. This shit is going to be a blast.

After some more time with it, I'm pretty satisfied with the lineup. I was pretty much going already going anyways, so it's a bonus that there's stuff I want to see. Here's the stuff that I am at least considering checking out:
Kendrick J.Cole Weezer Passion Pit Missy Elliott Weezer String Cheese Incident Passion Pit The Decemberists The War on Drugs Portugal. The Man PartyNextDoor RL Grime Duke Dumont Earl Sweatshirt Run the Jewels Courtney Barnett Cut Copy DJ Set Tobias Jesso Jr. Real Estate Flatbush Zombies Yung Lean Ryan Hemsworth BADBADNOTGOOD What So Not Giraff-age DJ Dodger Stadium Jack U A$AP Ferg Tycho Hundred Waters

I'm happy I get a couple of do-over chances to see What So Not after having to leave their set during Shambhala last year. I'm becoming ever-increasingly weary of electronic acts in the Sahara tent at Coachella, so I'm pretty excited to see them on this lineup as well.

I love looking back and seeing artists Beats Antique on the 3rd to bottom row. I saw them for the first time at Sasquatch. I think I could use the word "mesmerized" to describe my experience haha.
What's the deal with tickets? We are basically looking at 400 bucks per ticket each? And it looks like you pay more if you choose the payment plan.

If last year is any indication you should be able to get cheaper tickets off Craigslist. Mine came to $353 total in presale. Hell it wouldn't surprise me if there are some cheaper tickets popping up in the next couple weeks because people didn't like the lineup.
That being said I do not understand the ticket buying public so I guess there is a chance this could sell out, though I doubt it will be very fast.
