It's a music festival in 2015. That basically confirms the fact that Run the Jewels will be there.

Nothing yet today... Going to stop anticipating the actions of the organizers, it's completely unpredictable.

Also despite their Facebook bullshit, the official contest rules say that the draw will occur today at 2 p.m. Pacific time and that the winner will be contacted the week of April 6th.

I think Pemberton needs a new social media tzar. You thinking what I'm thinking Nadine?

So, does this mean no lineup until April 6th at the earliest? And Fig, I actually have no idea what you're referencing

If you want to attend this festival you are just going to have to come to terms with everything being a total clusterfuck. Just accept it and everything will be all right.

Except I -think- they improved camping, or at least the walk to the campground?? That was the only complaint I had for the entire fest last year.

I expect there to be around 15% improvement in the festival organization. But 15% of 1 is just .15.

The Pemberton twitter page is really active today. Normally they don't post until at least noon, but started a few hours ago this morning. COULD TODAY BE THE DAY??
They retweeted this a bit ago..

Also there's a lot of people on Twitter and Facebook saying that Phish are playing and Pemberton will announce the lineup once Phish announces their tour. Who knows though

I see no evidence to support this, but I would be pretty cool with it. If it's Phish, Kanye and another rock band like The Strokes (or some EDM like Calvin Harris, please no) that would be ballsy as hell, especially if they do unopposed headliners again.
I can't really see them going that route though, they need to sell tickets this year. Then again Squamish had Bruno Mars, Arcade Fire and Eminem as headliners last year, which is equally incoherent, and it sold pretty well.
We'll find out within a week or two I hope.

I really got no fuckin clue what the headliners for this puppy will be like. I'm pretty awed by Phish rumours - they're doing Les Schwab Amphitheater in Bend a few days after Pemberton so I suppose they'll be in the area...it'd be a kind of odd get. But i can roll with it.
I have no doubt it'll be eclectic. I think some big EDM headliner is pretty likely though.

I just see the EDM dude being Calvin Harris and that blows. Pretty Lights and Skrillex are probably out since they are playing Shambles. I don't think there's a radius clause or anything but I doubt many acts that aren't local will play Pemberton, tour for a couple weeks then come back to the same area for another festival.
I'm hoping they don't go for an EDM headliner, but they'll certainly have some big overpriced DJ to draw the kids. It has to be any day now though. I don't know who started these twitter rumours about Phish but they did just announce a tour that lines up perfectly. If that was the delay then I'm expecting it really soon, but there could also be something on the Glasto lineup that is holding things up.

Osheaga is two weeks after Pemberton in Montreal. They're announcing some (or all?) of their lineup through a mobile game and so far they have:
The Black Keys Kendrick Lamar Florence and the Machine St. Vincent Alt-J The Decemberists Hot Chip, Weezer Nas Tyler the Creator Interpol The Kills Caribou Run the Jewels Future Islands The War on Drugs Father John Misty Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals The Avett Brothers Of Monsters and Men Brand New Tove Lo Charli XCX Gary Clark Jr. Action Bronson Schoolboy Q Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros Young the Giant Patrick Watson Twin Shadow First Aid Kit Toro y Moi Philip Selway MS MR Viet Cong Alvvays Slyvan Esso Milky Chance Marina and the Diamonds Raury Strand of Oaks Glass Animals San Fermin Young Fathers
Possible we see a few of these at Pemberton?

Damn, I would love Jamie xx at Pemberton. You should post that in the Other Festivals thread as well. I think lots of boarders attend

I'm trying to figure out what this could be. It doesn't really make sense with the way block party is scheduled unless it's a bunch of different stages mashed together. Ratatat would he on the main stage but they wouldn't have music going past midnight outside. Oh well, I'll be quite happy if ratatat, Jamie xx, and com truise play.
