Has anyone done a comparison with Pea's crossover guide to the other festivals. Maybe we could narrow down the mystery Friday night headliner that way?

I thought Coachella was at 24/26? You're right! Sorry I didn't check that one! If there are two remaining, and the count has remained true, then the plot has sufficiently inspissated. Assuming that one of the add-ons is a headliner, or a higher-range artist, that leaves a few Coachella possibilities; however there are already a fair amount of top-line crossovers e.g. St. Vincent, War on Drugs etc. If one of the headliners is Jack White or AC DC or the likes then why would they not already have been announced. The crossover number might be obsolete if one of those artists was booked from Coachella but cancelled.

The crossover number might be obsolete if one of those artists was booked from Coachella but cancelled. This is the way my theories are leaning right now. I feel like there's a chance that Florence and her glorious Machine once sat upon the top of the Friday lineup but had to cancel for some reason. But who knows? Nothing in the world makes sense any more.

Of course this is just speculation, but TV On The Radio cancelled a ton of European shows due to illness/injury just before the Sasquatch lineup announcement. Although their current North American tour has not been affected by this (yet) my thoughts were maybe they backed out since the public commitment was not made yet. Doesn't really matter now I guess, but that was my train of thought at the time.

So looking at artists performing only at Coachella, I feel like there's a few possibilities for some nice additions: Lykke Li, Porter Robinson, George Ezra, FKA Twigs, Madeon, and Toro y Moi. Some of these might be on other lineups, haven't checked too thoroughly.

Toro y Moi lacks a Seattle date (or any northwest date, it looks like) but played Sasquatch in 2013. The others don't have anything majorly conflict-causing that I noticed!

I'd love to see all three of them added.

It's barely been mentioned on here, but if we're going to see a new Friday headliner added, I think D'Angelo is an interesting possibility to think about. It works with the theory of sasquatch not announcing due to the artist not announcing their tour yet. D'Angelo is about to kick off his Europe tour, which ends in March, but he doesn't have any U.S. dates announced. He is known for his unpredictability, and sasquatch is known for their awesomely unexpected headliners (which, admittedly, Robert Plant already fulfills to some extent). More of a dream scenario than something I think is likely to happen, but just wanted to bring it up. If he were added, the lineup goes from solid yet slightly underwhelming to fan-fucking-tastic, for me.

Should I know who this is? Yes. Will research. I feel clueless if this person is big enough to headline and I haven't heard of him.
