Just watched R.E.M. by MTV. Would really like to see these guys at the Gorge. What are the chances ya think? Where were you in 2008?

Well, probably chasing teenagers as my two sons were in the midst of those glorious years. I basically took off from life for a decade or so. Still finding my way back...

Headed back to the campground, because R.E.M. suck live. Just wondering if your conclusion is based on one show that didn't meet your Burritoness'es high expectations, or a series of shows? If just one, then your hypothesis is flawed based on sample size alone. If a series, then maybe their suckiness is based on a perception bias. I would like to be able to draw my own conclusions concerning sucking live, because the operative term in this case me thinks, is LIVE. Sucking can also be a pleasurable thing as well in proper context.

I saw REM there in 2008. I was only a senior in high school and not super familiar with their stuff, but I thought it was pretty good for what it was. Minus the rain and cold temps. But, Michael Stipe took his shoes off and kept performing on a soaked stage. It was pretty memorable.

It was not a hat.
