Favorite sets: Panda Bear, Mogwai, Gesaffelstein
Best hip hop performance by an artist not named Outkast: Chance obviously
Best late night party that I didn't go to and kinda wished I had: Boys Noize (although I had heard it was mediocre from a friend. Can someone else weigh in on this?)
Biggest disappointment: I honestly wasn't disappointed the entire weekend long. I was either just way too happy or got lucky with my schedule!
Biggest clusterfuck: I echo the "our massive group getting separated twice on the way into the campground" sentiment. I was totally shocked that we made it in one piece.
Best stage dive: Not really a stage dive per se, but Matt Berninger from the National crowd surfed way at the back of the pit, with the mic still in hand. That was pretty cool.
Least likely to happen, but it did: Not being hung over on a single day. How the hell did that happen?
Best comedy set: Demetri Martin
Biggest honor to see: I'll probably never see Outkast again, so probably them.
Biggest surprise to see standing next to us during Rodriguez: I might be wrong about the timing on this, but Demetri Martin walked right by us when Rodriguez was playing on his way to go backstage to see him!
Best electronic set: Panda Bear and Gesaffelstein tied.
Most annoying early end to a set: Cut Copy
Winner of the Sandrider/ MIA conflict: Panda Bear
Best performance by an artist who's album(s) I didn't really like: Major Lazer, their albums drive me insane but they know how to throw a party!
Best band to sit in the grass and smoke a joint TO (no longer with): Chune-Yards
"Funnest time Chance the Rapper has I have ever had at a concert": Sasquatch 2014
Best alcoholic breakfast food: PBR. Liquid diet, guys.

Favorite sets: CUT COPY, Tycho, Queens of the Stone Age
Best hip hop performance by an artist not named Outkast: Sam Lachow
Best late night party that I didn't go to and kinda wished I had: Gesaffelstein
Biggest disappointment: Getting booze confiscated at the bag check
Biggest clusterfuck: The "ferry-style" wristband checking system. We almost had to wait another hour in line because they let only half of my row go.
Best stage dive: Foals
Least likely to happen, but it did: Being first in line to get a signed record from Tycho
Best comedy set: Only saw Dimitri Martin...
Biggest honor to see: Cut Copy
Biggest surprise to see standing next to us during Rodriguez: N/A
Best electronic set: Classixx
Best blazing badass Bigfoot bluesfest dance party: Black Joe Lewis
Hardest set to walk away from because they started late and I wanted to get a good spot for Outkast: Mogwai
Best use of the "This side's louder than that side" technique: De La Soul
Best sunset chorus line dance party on the hill: Foals
Winner of the Sandrider/ MIA conflict: Sandrider
Best performance by an artist who's album(s) I didn't really like: Naked and Famous
Best band to sit in the grass and smoke a joint with: First Aid Kit
"Funnest time Chance the Rapper has ever had at a concert": Sasquatch 2014
Easiest boarder for me to recognize IRL: Pea
Best alcoholic breakfast food: Beer, beer, and beer

Best late night party that I didn't go to and kinda wished I had: None
Biggest disappointment: Missing most of Cold War Kids due to the ridiculous searching at the gates this year.
Biggest clusterfuck: The Subway in Ellensburg.
Least likely to happen, but it did: Surviving
Best comedy set: Our campsite (McDonald's tent, things got out of hand)
Best electronic set: Rudimental
Best alcoholic breakfast food: Beer and mushrooms.

Favourite set: Deafheaven
Exceeded expectations: M.I.A, Wow!!
Hidden Gem: Kithkin put on an amazing performance!
Favourite moment: I was front row at Rodriguez for a bit and caught a smile from him. I decided to move out from the crowd and saw my son sitting on a blanket with a girl he had met. Knowing my son chose to bring his Sasquatch crush to Rodriguez's set warmed my heart. I decided not to approach them and give them space. as I moved along I was greeted by Gramma, Stormy and a couple other kind folks. That set was filled with joy for me. It truly was an honour to see that performance.
Biggest Liars: Liars

Worst performance by an artist whose album(s) I didn't really like: Cut Copy. How can anyone above the age of thirteen take this band seriously? I was prepared to give them an honest chance until i saw FREE YOUR MIND. lawl. Does having an album named Free Your Mind automatically make a band not worth taking seriously? Cut Copy are super talented musicians, who cares what they name their albums? It's less the phrase itself that bugs me - if it did I'd probably never watch The Matrix again. Moreso it's the fact that having been not too impressed with Cut Copy's recorded material, I was at least expecting an exceptional spectacle (ala our mutual friend Panda Bear,) not just the album name as a backdrop. I stayed for about twenty minutes, and perhaps if they were an instrumental group I'd dig 'em more, but it's the vocals and lyrics man...I just can't ignore them enough to enjoy the band. That said, simplistic lyrics doesn't always equal a bad song, and lord knows I enjoyed the shit out of some ridiculous stuff over the weekend. I ain't tryna throw that dirty wet blanket over anybody's festivities. Again: hope everybody had a fantastic time, whatever that may mean.

Hidden Gem, that's a good one
Hidden Gem: Polyrhythmics
Just happened to be on the Narwhal when we were at our meeting spot (which is close enough to the stage to hear it clearly) and they were awesome. Didn't even know who they were until I checked my schedule.

Hidden gem: the "cell phone charging stations" that came with the lockers. I only actually plugged my phone in there once all weekend, but those couches were heaven. It was so nice to be able to go grab some food from the locker and relax on an actual chair or couch to eat and recharge for a couple minutes. Even if I hadn't brought a bag in, the use of the couches alone would have been worth the cost of the locker.

I kept meaning to go there but never got around to it. I always assumed it was just for anyone, you just had to walk through the lockers to get there.

Did Liars cancel or get skipped?
My thought was that they got skipped b/c the festival and/or Phantogram didnt want to push back their hyped (and godawful) evening set. regardless, it was a huge disappointment and a terrible way to start the weekend.

This rules. Thanks for providing me something to do at work. Favorite sets: The National, Tycho, Mogwai Best hip hop performance by an artist not named Outkast: Chance the Rapper (same here) Best late night party that I didn't go to and kinda wished I had: I think I either went to, or hallucinated being at pieces of all of them. Biggest disappointment: I forget who it was because it was so boring but I remember saying "this set sounds like he is yawning into the microphone." Biggest clusterfuck: My 4 pound bag of granola that melted into a 4 pound block of granola Best stage dive: I'm too short to see stage dives. Least likely to happen, but it did: Amy Poehler walking passed me in the Banana Shack, or groping Matt Berninger's chest. Best comedy set: Eric Andre Biggest honor to see: I think it was not who, but how - seeing Tycho play for so many people. Biggest surprise to see standing next to us during Rodriguez: Jesus Best electronic set: Is Tycho electronic? Why don't I know the answer to that? Sasquatch brain. Best blazing badass Bigfoot bluesfest dance party: too many words in this cannot compute Hardest set to walk away from because they started late and I wanted to get a good spot for Outkast: Mogwai, so I didn't do it. Best use of the "This side's louder than that side" technique: Every set at Banana Shack. Best sunset chorus line dance party on the hill: I got so down to Pursuit of Happiness Winner of the Sandrider/ MIA conflict: M.I.A. but only so I could get into The National pit Best performance by an artist who's album(s) I didn't really like: Cut Copy Best band to sit in the grass and smoke a joint with: chune-yards "Funnest time Chance the Rapper has ever had at a concert": Sasquatch 2014-- daw. Easiest boarder for me to recognize IRL: Goldbeard<--- classic Goldbeard Best alcoholic breakfast food: Tecate HOLY SHIT AMY POEHLER WAS THERE?!?!?!?!? WHY DID I NOT KNOW THIS?

What do you mean 'get skipped'?
They were on the schedule and as far as I know there was nothing on stage during that time. If they were going to 'skip' them they would have had to push all the sets and seriously fuck up the schedule. Phantogram was still late regardless.
I have never heard of a band being skipped at a music festival before, I don't know where you got that idea from.
