For anyone interested, there are predictions that the Camelopardalids will be an awesome meteor shower this Friday night and Saturday morning, maybe up to 400 visible meteors per hour, from 10:30 pm to about 2 am, with a peak at around midnight. Lights from the festival will make it more difficult to see the meteors, but if you get to a fairly dark spot and face north, the meteors will be be coming from the vicinty of the Camelopardalis constellation, which is basically in between the Big Dipper and Little Dipper.
Some of the debris maybe big enough to create fireballs, and even the littlest particles can create enormous streaks of light across the sky. I know many of us will be seeing streaky things already by that time Friday, but if you're seeing streaks of light during Outkast or Die Antwood, its not necessarily drugs causing the visual effects.
Anyway, may the force be with you! Live long and prosper....

Thanks Mutt for alerting everyone to this! I'm super excited to see this in such a great area of our country. Been far too long since I've been able to lay my head back and take solace in the wonder that's above us indefinitely for our minute lives. Though I'd like some Sasquatch magic to happen and I make some squatchy love with a lovely lady that night underneath the shower. Though, I'll surely be content in my own mind gazing upon the fucking insanity that is space.
