The idea of "going postal" refers to any worker who due to job stress freaks out, and actually refers to a mass murder incident in the Edmond, Oklahoma post office when a relief carrier (fill in postman) cracked up and killed 14 people. This happened in 1986 when Ronnie Raygun was in the process of trying to dismantle most of the federal government, including the post office. Lots of downsizing and long hours, and some decent middle class jobs went bye, bye. And I would argue that most mail people aren't lazy either, just overworked. I guess you can start paying Amazon to fly your wristband to you - maybe it will come with an automatic tightener, so you won't need to expend any effort to make sure its fastened. At least you will avoid having to deal with those irritating underpaid leaches in the post office... I owe you a beer or something if I meet you at Sasquatch. Not a lot of people are willing to call out the bullshit of Ronald "High Treason" Raygun and how he systemically started the Great Collapse of the American government over 30 years ago.

I guess cuz I lived through it - actually voted for the prick in my first election instead of Jimmy Carter, who was probably the best president in the last 50 years. I attribute the entire Iraq / Iran / Afghanistan clusterfuck to Ronnie and his band of corrupt criminals - including Bush Sr. and all his progeny - a bunch of fascists if you ask me. And the beer is on me... look for the Ford Ranger with Oregon plates and a 15 foot dent in the side.

15 foot dent? Did Sasquatch kick your truck?! Thanks everyone for the heads up! Ticketmaster said they would resend my tickets the second they got returned to their office. And if they don't show up in time will-call is no problemo. I will just get paperwork to camp on Thursday if I have to, but I doubt it.
And the honey people were really super nice! I think it was their set up that made me think otherwise. Nice, but odd.

Not Sasquatch. I had another type of creature - a teenager - living in my house, eating my food, and driving my truck. He had a chance encounter with a post - non moving type. The post jumped out at him and left that dent. At least that's the story I got.

My friends and I all got ours last Thursday around the same time. I feel silly for panicking so early, but it would be nice if they held up their end with sending out confirmations and tracking numbers so we at least knew they were coming. I'm sure everyone will get theirs, but it's hard not no freak out when they just give you the runaround and there's no way of knowing that it was even shipped.
I had a feeling we'd get ours later since we live in fuck nowhere, but anyone else that hasn't got theirs by the end of the week I'd say it's understandable to panic.
