Davers and I saw both shows. We both have the opinion that Tame Impala was better than Sigur Ros on that night. "Better" may mean "more of the vibe we were looking for at that specific time" (I don't know, I can't speak for Davers). All you haters appear to not have seen Tame Impala's set at all. So, not sure how we would be wrong on this subject. I don't think you are wrong for liking Sigur Ros' set. Fuck that moderation shit, we deal in absolutes round here. Tame Impala = Jesus Sigur Ros = Stoned Dad Rock

I'm just scoffing at the idea that any Tame Impala set could possibly be objectively better than any Sigur Ros set. Also Tame Impala is far more stoner dadrock than Icelandic folk-metal. Or are we even talking about the same bands?

Yeah, I didn't really put much thought into that. Dad rock is just a blanket insult to music on here.

Yeah, not sure about the dad rock for Sigur Ros. I think a big part of that specific night for me was comparing it to the Sigur Ros set I saw months prior at The Paramount. I personally thought Sigur Ros at The Paramount was a better show. I lost interest in Sigur Ros at Sasquatch and went to the bathroom about half way in. My wife and I heard Tame Impala going on and stood there for a couple of songs in awe. We then raced back to our friends at Sigur Ros and told them they needed to check out Tame Impala. My group all felt the same way. It is too bad Tame Impala didn't play at the set time they were supposed to. Then we all could have seen both shows.

I didn't see Tame Inhaler at all, so I can't say if you're right or wrong. It's just impossible for me to comprehend that anything could have been better than the mind melting experience I had at Sigur Rós.
Edit: I'm not fixing that autocorrect.

This is what I was most bummed about, I really wanted to see both. Sigur Ros wrecked my brain for the rest of the night though, I can't imagine a Tame Impala set that would have the same effect.

I like how we are having 2013 reflection discussion on the 2014 lineup discussion thread. That is how epic Sasquatch memories are. They live forever.

It's just impossible for me to comprehend that anything could have been better than the mind melting experience I had at Sigur Rós. This is how I felt about Primus. Nothing I saw that weekend came anywhere near Primus. I think after the festival my top 10 list was 1. Primus . . . Other stuff. It doesn't even make sense to me that someone can objectively say that anything was better than Primus, but here we are.

I just meant on that night, in that moment in time. Primus was a completely different night, so it doesn't count. However, I will say this: not my favorite Primus show. They were amazing and it was one of the best sets the weekend, but still number 2 in terms of Primus overall for me.

I liked Sigur Ros better than that Tame Impala set, but they were both pretty mind blowing.

Have any of you guys seen MIA live? If so, does she usually have a live band?

This board has really strong feelings about the weirdest things. This should replace "Obey the Horn" on the scrolly-bar thingy.

I saw her on the Colbert Report after her last album came out and it seems like there was a band backing her, if I remember correctly. I definitely remember some lady that just danced circles around her the whole time while she just stood there in her jacket and sunglasses looking super cool.
