The Frog Brigade was so fucking rad. Both of those Live Frogs discs are among the best shit Claypool has ever released. They do some scorching King Crimson on Set I.

Their promo video seems like some borderline Juggalo shit, but I guess I'm just not metal enough to get it. Either way, not my cup of tea I don't think.

It's okay to say no, ddmf. We won't judge you.

I'm having a hard time with this Super Geek League stuff. I have a bunch of friends who are 'circus people' -- not in that they ran off and joined the circus, only in that they wear Beetlejuice pants and wax the tips of their mustaches and they spend all of their mom's money on steampunk goggles and are constantly humping things. The production value of SGL makes it look kinda nifty, but I feel like it's ultimately just going to annoy me.

You just hate circus people because they're beautiful and they stole Phil.

You're not even metal enough to properly use the phrase 'I'm not metal enough for _______.' Shit's embarrassing, dude, and I say that as the least metal dude on this board until you made that post.

You just hate circus people because they're beautiful and they stole Phil. I hate circus people because they are utterly self-absorbed and place more value on appearance than they do on intellect, to the point that they seem to make a conscious effort to excise the intellect completely. It bothers me in relation to Phil, because Phil is one of the most intelligent people I know. Not emotional intelligence, either; he'll sit and explain string theory to you if you let him. But instead he spends all of his fucking time hula hooping. I also hate circus people because whenever I hang out with them, I feel old and square even though I know in the depths of my cold, black heart that I am cooler than any of them. You wouldn't understand, Fig. You're part of the Secret Society of Beautiful People.

I also hate the misappropriation of the word 'geek'. I've paid my fucking dues. The world at large doesn't get to use it as a marketing tactic.

You do realize that clowns and circuses existed before and independently of ICP and Juggalos, right? Of course, I merely spoke of the first thing that came to mind for me when I watched their promo. Probably could've phrased my sentence better, wasn't meant as an attack, just as a "these are things that I don't understand and therefore won't be spending my time on". Also, I went and got my dictionary and crossed out the word "metal", just because of how much I admire you all. <3

It is weird to be admired by someone about whom the only thing I know involves a gif of a basketball man.

There is a picture of me wearing a t-shirt with a picture of Ryan Gosling wearing a t-shirt with a picture of Macaulay Culkin wearing a t-shirt with a picture of me wearing the t-shirt with the picture of me wearing the t-shirt with a picture of Ryan Gosling wearing the t-shirt with a picture Macaulay Culkin wearing the t-shirt of me wearing the t-shirt that Ryan Gosling has with a picture of Macaulay Culkin on it.
It's on the infernet.

OK maybe I'll tone down the humping at Sasquatch.

Yeah. I remember when being a Geek wasn't cool. Aka me from age 8-15.
Funking capitalism can even appropriate my bullying.
