Anyone ever notice that when someone's first post is I need a ride from ________, the only people who seriously respond are other people with 1-5 posts?
The internet is creepy.

The internet is creepy.Probably because people just end up here looking for rides with no intention of racking up 1000s of posts. It's the same as responding to a craigslist ad. I did give a couple of girls a ride in 2011 who posted here and then got ridiculed about lying about their age. I didn't actually realize they were the same people until just before the festival (my brother knew them, and this was long after we all made fun of them). The question is, which is creepier: getting a ride from someone with 5 posts, or getting a ride with someone who has 5000 posts, many of which are complete nonsense? |
