I'm not even a very big fan of QoTSA's recorded music, but I saw them a few years ago at the Roseland (and I fucking hate the Roseland), but they were amazing live. Very much so worth seeing, especially at the gorge.

Word. Like I said, they're headlining, so I'm either going to be seeing them or taking a shit. If I'm lucky there will be time for both.

Besides, if you don't like the first half hour or so of their set, then Gesaffelstein will be burning down the dance tent during the rest of it. I almost wish I didn't like them so I could catch his whole set because it's going to be fucking incredible.

Yeah, Gesaffelstein might be the one to shackle my banana this year.

I'll see the first 15 or 30 minutes or whatever of QoTSA that doesn't overlap, but I wont be missing a moment of Gesaffelstein. Major Lazer can wait/suck it, Gesaffelstein is going to be the best way to close the dance tent ever.

We can feasibly see 45 minutes of each of the 3 closing acts that night.

My dude. Shit, I forgot about the Dodos. Joe's Waltz is still one of my favorite songs all time. If I had a dime for every time I waited to hear them play that live, I'd have at least a couple toonies. Then again, Beck played Debra, so maybe this is the year.

As much as I would love to hear songs like Available, All The Wine, Murder Me Rachael, and slightly newer stuff from Alligator, I've come to terms with the odds of hearing any of those. It will be amazing though Don't click this spoiler if you don't want to know about The National live in 2014. They've played all three of those songs and 8 songs off of Alligator (including "All the Wine" and the obligatory "Mr. November") on their current run of dates. We won't know how their headlining shows differ from festival sets until Shaky Knees Festival on May 9, but that set might not even be completely indicative of their Sasquatch set because it is only 90 minutes compared to their 100 minute Sasquatch set. (Okay, I know it's not that much more time, but you can fit 3 deep cuts into that amount of extra time!) Not much of a spoiler. It's pretty well known they play a shit ton of Alligator because it has all their best songs, and some of Boxer. They rarely play anything pre Alligator, but when they do, it's the two or three songs worth playing.

You didn't dig QotSA? What album(s) did you listen to? I listened to about half of each of their last 4 albums. I'll usually try my best to make it through an entire album even if I don't like the music, but this music sounds godawful to my ears. Even if you don't like em, skipping their set would be a huge mistake. They put on a killer show. This is what people told me about Foo Fighters and I found their set to be pathetic. I am rarely surprised anymore by a band blowing my mind when I assumed they were going to suck, but who knows? They're a headliner, so I'm inevitably going to see some of the set. Do you find yourself never going back to those classic Led Zeppelin and the Who albums? Do you hate Guns and Roses? Did you think the grunge era was overrated? If so, it's not the Queens you dislike, you dislike straight up rock in general. The Foo Fighters and QOTSA are two of the only bands left that define "rock," so it's the genre you dislike, not the band. Don't worry, you're not alone. Pea and HG hate rock too.

I would never say that I dislike an entire genre because that is true of none with the exception of country. I tend to like a very little bit of everything. For example, I like Led Zeppelin, but agree with pretty much everything else you just assumed.
