Band of Skulls also rock. It's too bad they are playing opposite Violent Femmes.

I have not. The process of moving and lack of internet at my new place have mostly ceased my new music listening at this point in time.
I shall try and get on that. I guess I could even try and find a physical copy somewhere. Do HMVs still exist?

There is still an HMV at Metrotown, but really, you should just go to Red Cat or one of the indie record stores. They also sell CD's.

I have really been grooving on Band of Skulls, so much so that I am bagging the Great Blow Up Ball Drop Thingy with you all during Violent Femmes... unless of course the ball drop thingy happens in the last 30 minutes of the Femmes set, in which case I may be able to drop my balls with the rest of you.

I had no idea, I haven't been to Metrotown in ages because that place is one of the circles of hell, but I think I still have a gift certificate to HMV somewhere around here I'd love to use.

Deafheaven happens in the last 30 minutes of Violent Femmes. My plan, as of now, is to catch the first couple minutes of Band of Skulls, run to the main stage for the first half of Violent Femmes, sprint to the Yeti for all of Deafheaven, then catch the tail end of The Grizzled Mighty on the Narwhal on my way back to the main stage to meet back up with my girlfriend just as Neko Case is finishing up. It's going to be a hectic couple of hours for me, but so worth it.

I also like the Growlers on the Yeti stage right before them, but that interferes with both Band of Skulls and the Femmes. My plan is start with the Growlers at the Yeti, then Band of Skulls for a full set, blow off Femmes and the Great Ball Drop, catch Deafheaven, the Grizzled Mighty, Cloud Control, and Sandrider for a Yeti / Narwal Saturday evening. Are the Yeti and Narwal open stages or tents? Where are they on the grounds?

Are the Yeti and Narwal open stages or tents? Where are they on the grounds? They're open. They're both on the map, but I'm too lazy to find it and link it. Basically, the Narwhal is on the back side of the big hill leading to the main stage and the Yeti is by the food vendors to the far right after you enter the grounds.
