Yeah. I originally were curious about seeing Queens of the Stone Age but now I'm pretty sure I won't be checking them out. I remembered their debut singles and now meh.

Even if you don't like em, skipping their set would be a huge mistake. They put on a killer show.

Geno is right. They grow to become stage-monsters and eat the light. It's an incredible show.
Also will be your chance to watch weenie freak out.

There will be something beautiful in 2014 about middle-aged dudes playing dirtyclean desert rock on top of a river gorge.

And picturing them play songs from their new album at the Gorge gets me all sorts of excited. God damn do I love that album.

Because I feel like this is a true statement for either one. I'm also curious to know which Queens album(s) Señor Rito listened to because I used to be only half a fan of theirs, but their new album really grew on me. I can hear so much Bowie influence in it and I love me anything Bowie.

It's all about Songs for the Deaf IMO, though the new is pretty great.

As much as I would love to hear songs like Available, All The Wine, Murder Me Rachael, and slightly newer stuff from Alligator, I've come to terms with the odds of hearing any of those. It will be amazing though Don't click this spoiler if you don't want to know about The National live in 2014. They've played all three of those songs and 8 songs off of Alligator (including "All the Wine" and the obligatory "Mr. November") on their current run of dates. We won't know how their headlining shows differ from festival sets until Shaky Knees Festival on May 9, but that set might not even be completely indicative of their Sasquatch set because it is only 90 minutes compared to their 100 minute Sasquatch set. (Okay, I know it's not that much more time, but you can fit 3 deep cuts into that amount of extra time!)

I didn't think I could be more excited for their set. I was wrong.

You didn't dig QotSA? What album(s) did you listen to? I listened to about half of each of their last 4 albums. I'll usually try my best to make it through an entire album even if I don't like the music, but this music sounds godawful to my ears. Even if you don't like em, skipping their set would be a huge mistake. They put on a killer show. This is what people told me about Foo Fighters and I found their set to be pathetic. I am rarely surprised anymore by a band blowing my mind when I assumed they were going to suck, but who knows? They're a headliner, so I'm inevitably going to see some of the set.

I love the way the dude from the National says the word 'lemonade'. Makes me need a glass.

QOTSA is so much on the top of my list of most excited to see it isn't close. They are going to be the perfect headliners to close out the weekend. I do believe Burrito will love their set because he loves guitar. Josh plays some wicked guitar. Come on though, 4 songs on each album? That isn't even a fair shot! Just kidding. Everyone can have their own opinion but that is not much of a listen if you ask me. Their newest album may be my favorite but Songs For The Deaf, Rated R and the Self Titled are not far behind.

"You Can't Quit Me Baby" is the track I wish they would play...doubt it will happen though. S/T is a beast. "Better Living Through Chemistry" would be a trip as well. I have been looking for Rated R on vinyl but it is always over $30. Next time I get tequila drunk downtown that will be my purchase. **EDIT: I guess I suck at quoting...ha ***Double drunk edit: I don't know what happened to my cool picture that emptyfox gave me for my avatar.

I will try extra hard to listen to the entirety of their newest album, but I ain't making any promises. I've heard at least 20 hella lame riffs from them already.

I really like that song they did with Elton John and Trent Reznor. Fairweather Friends I think it was called.
