I'm also loving the Warpaint but damn, 2014 is so hive-mindey so far. Nobody's into Switchfoot's latest? HMMMMMM? ?

I am trying the approach that I tried to try last year this year, where I don't add every album that I like, but rather only the best of the best tip-top notch chunes. This year just happens to be off to an excellent start. The three albums on my list so far are all contenders for the best album of each artist's career.

Your lack of an avatar has driven me crazy long enough. I present you with the results of a quick google search for pictures related to your name:

I was waffling for a bit, but I'm adding Dum Dum Girls - Too True. Great, catchy pop album.

Please add to my list:
Thee Silver Mt Zion Memorial Orchestra - Fuck Off Get Free We Pour Light On Everything Indian - From All Purity
I'm still on the fence about adding Rave Tapes. I absolutely loved it on the first listen, but it hasn't really stuck with me like these two have.

I need to listen to this one. Guiltless was pretty good. I haven't really been in the brutal music mood, so I've been putting it off. I see it is on their Bandcamp page. indiandoom.bandcamp.com/

The middle 4 are kind of a slog, but the front and back 3 are still excellent IMO.

It's especially hard for it to stand out for me when I started listening to it the same day as Fuck Off Get Free, which is easily my favorite album of this short year so far.

Rave Tapes sucks when you compare it to every single other Mogwai album.
Fuck Off Get Free... is the opposite of that.

Disagree. I like it much better than Hardcore Will Never Die... and Mr. Beast.
Also comparing Mogwai to Mt. Zion is a joke. They're not even close. But that shouldn't marginalize either of them in any way.
