19. Melt Banana - Fetch 16. Death Grips - Government Plates 5. Akron/Family - Sub Verses Deerhunter - Monomania This is why I do internet. It's pretty much why I internet too. About half of the albums on my area list ones that I probably never would have even listened to if it wasn't for the internet and this board, specifically.

Internet is cool. Melt-Banana and Akron/Family especially deserve a lot more fans than they have.

That is why Dr. Garbanzo does internet, but I think this might be why weenie does internet: Many moons ago a young weenie called up her friend Al Gore and said "Dude, there needs to be a medium for people to look at moving pictures of dancing wormdogs, whaddyathink?" This, my friends: is why the internet at all.

Not only one of the worst albums I listened to this year, but easily the worst song I've heard in nearly a decade. Thank you for sharing. There is no need to thank me for anything other than being here.

No Run the Jewels; your list is invalid. However, even if my #1 isn't on that list, my 2 and 3 are, and they are eerily accurate.

Glad I didn't click that at work. You should probably put NSFW in there. You know, boobs and stuff.

I have been desensitized to that boob. The nipple, however, still catching me off guard.

1) Rilo Kiley – rkives Yeah it's a b-sides and rarities. And the remix of "Dejalo" is the worst. Whatever fuck you, my favourite band in the whole wide world put out a new album this year. MY DEFUNCT HATE EACH OTHER NEVER MAKING MUSIC AGAIN FAVOURITE BAND EVER PUT OUT A NEW ALBUM THIS YEAR. Also, the two-punch of "Let Me Back In" and "Get You There" has been the very important musical soundtrack to a lot of very important happenings in a fucked up year. 2) Chvrches – Bones of What You Believe Seriously this year was so rich in EXACTLY the type of music I love, female vocalist electropop whatever. AKA exactly the opposite of what Souly likes. 3) Data Romance – Others Probably listened to this album more than anything else this year. Something about the fragile loveliness of the singer's voice is just incredible. Shout out to Pea and the Meow Playing thread for this one, fer realz. 4) Ms Mr – Secondhand Rapture The only reason this didn't get first is that I only got obsessed with it a month ago and I'm worried that like with most of my obsessions it might not stand the test of time. LOVE THIS FUCKING ALBUM THOUGH SO HARD. 5) Nine Inch Nails – Hesitation Marks You guys know. This guy knows. 6) Vampire Weekend – Modern Vampires of the City 7) Moderat – II 8) Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork 9) Tegan and Sara – Heartthrob 10) The Joy Formidable – Wolf’s Law 11) Disclosure – Settle 12) Civil Wars – Civil Wars 13) Man Man – On Oni Pond 14) !!! - Thr!!!er 15) Daft Punk – Random Access Memories 16) Frightened Rabbit – Pedestrian Verse 17) Arcade Fire - Reflektor 18) Boards of Canada – Tomorrow’s Harvest 19) Jon Hopkins – Immunity 20) Camera Obscura - Desire Lines Holy shit that was hard. We are lucky to have been in the year twentythirteen y'all. Hey, can we do a best songs of 2013 thread too? A lot of my favourite shit of this year didn't make the "Album" cut and I'd like to give them credit where it's due. I guess I could just make it. NEVERMIND PRETEND YOU DIDN'T READ THAT!

I had to check out some of the albums I didn't pay enough attention to. I was slacking on listening to some good albums this year. I'll have to update before years end.

8. Mac Miller - Watching Movies With The Sound Off This album is so much better than it should be. I wouldn't be totally surprised if he ends up at Sasquatch next year.

Yep, it was a really nice surprise. It's wildly flawed but I kept finding myself coming back to it which is why it ended up so high on my list.
