Also, Onesquatch/Twosquatch? Maysquatch/Julysquatch? Sasquatch Episode 1: The Phantom Menace?

It seems like Neutral Milk will probably be at julysquatch as well, but are not big ticket sellers, they are spank material for us indie nerds. Why not May? They are playing Primavera Sound the weekend after. I think it would make sense that they play MaySquatch. I keep expecting them to announce more dates in their crazy touring schedule that will include the PNW, but I guess they are probably just holding out because of Spring festival dates. I was mistaken and thought that Primavera fell on the same weekend as it usually does, however it does not, and it seems like their last date before the 28th in Portugal is Feb 21st in New Orleans, so your theory holds some weight. Depending on their trajectory after their two Portugal dates, if they come back state side I say July, if not than it is likely that they may do May and possibly even Coachella, due to how open their schedule is from Feb-Late May. It will be very interesting to see what the Primavera lineup is going to be, because of years past where some bands did the fly in thing and some "refused" based on not wanting to come stateside just to play Sasquatch. I feel like we will get the opportunity to see more crossover than in year's past.

Although Cyscquatch is completely wrong about comparing the popularity of NIN to one of the biggest rock bands in the world, I too thought nick's comment was extremely pompous. I'm not much of a NIN fan, but Trent Reznor has been leading the charge to make visually spectacular shows for years. To dismiss that as, "I'll get a better spot for a band I like on the Bigfoot," is already juvenile, but even moreso considering NIN does not appeal to the masses like Mumfords. The band playing opposite NIN would be that up and coming indie rock band the radio loves, not a band we all appreciate like Primus. At least Accelerated Cheese made an argument, which I couldn't completely disagree with. You just made a stupid fucking comment that was pointless. Now you blow up like a fucking idiot and start name calling. I suppose I might have came off a little harsh, but If you don't want to make an intelligent argument then fuck off dude. Bash away I hope it makes you feel better about your life, and your broken bike. From what I can see, the 'stupid fucking comment' that Nick made with which you disagree was that there just might be a better band that Nine Inch Nails? This is one of the most absurd board blow-ups since I don't know when. Like, what the fuck is even going on?? Is this like when Burrito and Dr. Garbanzo were howling at each other as a spoof because they actually love each other, or is cysquatch actually that ready to go to war over Trent Reznor? Personally: I've seen Nine Inch Nails, and a top-notch Bigfoot headliner would probably entice me away from a second opportunity to see them again. Additionally: Chill the fuck out. You're acting like a NIN fan from 1997. And HG, who the fuck are you to critique an internet argument? You spout off personal attacks before even making a thought, and the validity of those thoughts are like flipping a coin. Nick did win with the insults, but the whole thing felt like a cry for HG acceptance. It also felt like he takes the internet way too seriously.

So now not liking a specific rock band is also juvenile. I'm learning all sorts of wacky things this week.

The WONK has spoken. This is the internet argument pyrimid. I have it bookmarked for quick reference. For the record, I wasn't trying to be dick or argue at all. I thought I made that pretty clear. I was stating my opinion and a few facts. I finally got a little heated by the last comment, but wasn't to the point of returning insults. Firing off insults at a faceless person on the internet doesn't prove anything. I'll just leave it at that.

I see where Nick is coming from, but skipping one of the best live bands out there for a smaller bigfoot set would be a huge mistake in my personal opinion. Regardless if you like NIN or not, their shows are seriously killer.

I see where Nick is coming from, but skipping one of the best live bands out there for a smaller bigfoot set would be a huge mistake in my personal opinion. Regardless if you like NIN or not, their shows are seriously killer. That's fair. Bottom line is, I just can't justify seeing a band for their live performance alone. I listen to music, for, well, the music, and I don't like NIN's music. I've listened to a lot of it. Not a fan at all. So if there's a band I actually enjoy playing on another stage at the same time, that's where I'll be. For the slow-minded superfans: I am not insulting NIN. They're probably great. I, personally, don't like them. This is not a dig at your musical taste or the band's artistic merit. It is a statement of preference. It will not change no matter how much you bitch. That is all.

Closed minded, very immature, and even more pompous. Are you actually 15? Why attend festivals if live performances are meaningless? Invest in headphones and stay home.

You've gotta be quite the masochistic music fan if you skip bands you like to see other bands you don't like just because they are good live.

You've gotta be quite the masochistic music fan if you skip bands you like to see other bands you don't like just because they are good live. Or extremely misinformed. Music message boards exist so fans can tell each other, "this is what you're missing." It's not for, "I know what I like, and you'll never change my mind, so fuck off." Would you rather re-read your favorite book, or fuck a porn-star. Think before you respond.

Are you seriously arguing that it's not ok for someone to dislike a band? Just because someone says they dislike a band that many other like, they are automatically misinformed? Here, call me misinformed for this: I don't like Primus. At all. I haven't liked them in the past, and I probably will never like them. I have no interest in seeing them. I understand they're talented and put on a good live show. I don't care. I actually feel the exact same way about NIN. Boy, I must be misinformed, right? There's no chance that I came to those conclusions based on my preferences and opinions about music, rather than my lack of knowledge on the subject? Your statement is totally asinine.
And your analogy is stupid, just like the last time we mixed words. You need to work on those.

It's okay rustuuu, when NIN headlines next year we can hold hands and skip blissfully to another stage while wonk's face turns red and he sputters nonsensically because his fragile mind can't handle the fact that sometimes people disagree with him.

Uninteresting and clueless with a false sense of worth, and wants everyone to know about it. Just like every other high school kid.

At some point in life you're going to have to admit to yourself that your opinion isn't fact and that it's possible to disagree with you without being wrong. Also, assuming that everyone who disagrees with you is a childish idiot is a pretty awful way to come across. I'm left wondering when you should take your own advice and stop acting like a high schooler.
Until then, I'm forever done talking to you. Have a good day.

And that sounds good to me Nick! Whenever the headliners play there's usually something great happening at the dance tent!

Until then, I'm forever done talking to you. Have a good day. I'm gonna hop on this bandwagon too. Rather than engage in discourse, wonk has repeatedly and mercilessly responded with name-calling, taunts, and baseless accusations. And he calls us childish! Looks like I've found my very first candidate for the 'Block' feature.
