I was out and about today with my family, and while we are not completely in the clear, it appears that water is subsiding and 65,000+ have been advised that they can return home. Good luck to them!
I am a residential claims adjuster for a major insurance company, so tomorrow should be an interesting one for me. I hope that I will be able to do some good for some people...that is if they can find an alternate work site for us, since my office is in the middle of the still evacuated zone.
I hope that everyone out there is still doing well and looking out for one another. Take care!

I wouldn't be surprised if you are picturing me peeling a carrot with a staple gun.
My friend was able to return home today. He had at least 8 feet of water in the groundfloor of his home. Shoes floated to the tops of closets and became wedged on the wooden bar that holds the coast hangers. I'm glad everyone is OK, but man that would suck so hard.
